Horrible! DON’T HIRE SEAN PATRICK GJERDE. Nothing but excuses and incompetence. DON’T PAY HIM UP FRONT. I paid all of the money up front, but then I didn’t hear from him again until I called to find out why my case was dismissed!
Mr. Gjerde lost my bankruptcy case after he failed to show up for a court hearing. Mr. Gjerde took my money and never even filed a complete application with the court. He failed to file some of the paperwork for the initial application for bankruptcy. When the court scheduled a hearing about the missing paperwork, Gjerde didn’t show up, so my case was dismissed. I had to wait six months to re-file. I lost my house.
Even though he never filed a complete application for bankruptcy, he kept all of my money and refused to refund anything. To add insult to injury, when I looked at the final bill, he even charged me for the phone call I made to his office asking why my case was dismissed! Find somebody else to represent you.

Mr Gjerde settled my divorce quickly, professionally and fairly cheaply. I do not understand the negative reviews as my personal experience was very good.

I was nothing but pleased with the work that Mr Gjerde and his office staff did for me. I had a tough case (the judge himself was confused) Sean Gjerde did not only have the knowledge but the obvious experience when arguing points but that mans mind worked a mile a minute and he came up with things I never would have thought of. The cost was VERY reasonable especially considering how much work my case required. The office staff worked around my work schedule and made appt times convenient for me. I would (and have) recommended Mr Gjerde's Law Firm to friends and family. If there were more attorneys out there that cared as much as he did for my situation, the world would be a better place!

Very poor communication, rarely returned correspondence.Missed several deadlines and showed a complete lack of attention to detail in the courtroom. Was not prepared at all and was not aware of the case particulars.Very inexperienced trial attorney and relies heavily on a young inexperienced office staff. For the money, find a more experienced attorney or if your case is straight forward, save the money and hire a legal document assistant.

I was not satisfied with the level of communication, attentiveness to detail, or involvement with my case. He seemed to be going through the motions. I lost many points because he was unfamiliar with the particulars of my case so unprepared to counter the opposing counsel's claims.
