Richard Kibbey is the top rated lawyer on the Treasure Coast according to businessmen and lawyers I have talked to. He has been defending cases for over 35years and has a strong record of victories. His latest win was in defending a police officer who was indicted in Tallahassee for Identity Theft. After two trials (the first was a hung jury) Kibbey's client Titus Dixon was acquitted in December 2015- a rare feat in Federal Court. I think the "poor" reviews on this site were filed by those jealous of his long history of success. Why no case names given if they are "true"?

No preliminary hearing conducted to challenge claims of state, as didn't want to disclose flaws in states case, Did not account for his hours spent on case he when demanded more money to continue representation of defendnat, (supposed to be a flat fee case) then demanded more money to continue with case then finally announbced he was "tired of case", forcing a plea deal which was misrepresented to client discovered when plea was entered before the court, failed to subpeona 911 recording before it was deleted by state, misplaced evidence delivered to his office.

I recently had Kibbey and Deckard represent me for my DUI charge. I unfortunately took the breath test which was over .20 bac. Deckard kicked ass and got my case reduced to a reckless driving charge.

The results he obtains speak for themselves. Just ask the two businessmen who were charged with sexual assault and had their cases dropped after Kibbey and Deckard won a motion to suppress. Check the Stuart News for details-dolan and fuller. Teamwork is what it is about.

kibbey sluffs you off to his protege. only problem is that josh has no balls. the fees are if you get kibbey himself. but he seems to have gotten too high and mighty for the little guy except for his fees.josh does not follow thru. went my case got to court i had to represent myself.no due diligence, nothing. he knew nothing about my case and fed me to the dogs.

Richard Kibbey is an excellent attorney who got great results in my case. He always returned phone calls, answered my questions and was very professional. His parner Mr. Deckard is awesome, too! They made a great team and I would highly recommend them. (Some people think they charge a lot, but you get what you pay for!)

From what I have heard of Mr. Kibbey, he is a great attorney. The only problem I had is that when I contacted his office & made an appointment, I was met by another attorney named Josh Dekard. He advised me that Mr. Kibbey is not that active in the firm any longer & that he handles the majority of the cases. He did state that Mr. Kibbey reviews each case with him & together they determine a plan of attack. He quoted me a very high price of $10k & then stated that if the case goes to trial it would be another couple of grand. I met Mr. Kibbey once after that & the rest of the time I met/spoke with Josh Dekard. When they determied the case had to go to trial, they requested another $8k from me. I had to switch attorneys due to the high rate. From what I gather, Mr. Kibbey only handles high profile cases himself while the Shlep Josh Dekard handles the small stuff.

heard great things from a friend of a friend about his case 3 yrs ago. As I happen to land in jail my mom panicked and paid 25,000 for a****ty attn for me. I never got a chance to have him represent me. All I have is headaches with my new attn. He would be a very good choice from what I heard from others

Mr. Kibbey is the best attorney in Martin County. Even when the deck is stacked against him, he keeps attacking. As his web site state, if you are in trouble call Richard Kibbey.

Hired to help my son with his felony arrest for drug possession. Case resolved in a manner better than what we expected. Very competent staff and Mr. Kibbey was always willing to discuss our case and it's progress.

Overall a job well done even if somewhat expensive==prosecutor seemed to be cordial to him but at same time acted abit fearful-perhaps it was the difference in the years of experience. I found the Martin County court system to be slow and too crowded for the judge to give full attention to my case.

Got me off of a DUI clean, but cost $3500 plus expungement, which is another $1000.
