Won,on my behalf,years ago,one of the most bizarre divorce appeals in Alabama Civil Appellate Court history.I don't downplay what others have stated;just,in my case,he researched tirelessly and wrote my argument brilliantly.

I'm truly sorry for everyone who posted negative feedback and I certainly would not downplay anyone's situation, but Mr. did a wonderful job for me. Where I would have wimped out, he set me straight. He wasn't always nice about it, but he did it for my own good. Like most everyone else, I had to pay in advance. Any funds that weren't used were promptly refunded without my asking. I came out on top but only because of him. He seemed to know what was coming down the road for me and he made sure I was prepared.

I had Mr. Wood as my divorce attn. He charged me 17k and did nothing for me!! He continued to let my ex husband and his lawyer walk all over me. He had no compassion for me! But yet he could take my money. After 20 years of marriage I got nothing from it because he didn't fight for me!!

John Wood took 8K of my money just weeks before his license to practice law was suspended. I was lied to by Mr Wood and his office staff about the status of their office and was actually told they were just moving, when in fact they were closing. If anyone else had done the things that this man did to his clients, taking their money and not delivering, they would be in prison. John Wood is a disgrace. Now he hides behind a disability claim so the State Bar's hands are tied for now. I guarantee you I will see him and his office assistant in court. Call the Alabama State Bar and they will verify exactly what I have written here.

He handled my divorce in 2007 and was awful! Very unprofessional in his meetings and I had to do all the work. Thank goodness I am an accountant! He had me write a check for a bill I owed to my estate attorney and said he would pay it. He never did & I had collectors coming after me for 2 years. He never returned calls and I threatened to report him to the State Bar. He would automatically draft my credit card. I saw one post that said he was disbarred, but could not confirm it. Stay away from him.

Rip Off to call himself a lawyer. Everyone Make a complaint to the Bar Association!! He does no work after taking your money. Large excessive fees in my book. I might could see it if he charged the 387 dollars not the 12000 dollars. Make those complaints for his and his secretary behavior!!

Charged me $5000 did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Would not return money. I took complete copies of every thing he would need, tried to charge me to copy my copies to return after he did NOTHING. Horible!

Run like hell! Every post is true - he should rec'v 0's across the board. And I was so sick of losing everything, I reacted in anger - he withdrew from my case. Now I have no lawyer and no money to hire one. I intend to sue him. Please email if you want to help bobbiefletcher@bellsouth.net

did not take care of his client in my case. Did not show up on time to depositions. was 1.5 hours late. Took 12,000 dollars for fee and did 4 subpoenas and one half day depositions. Was worthless in my case. Does not communicate with clients. Yells at clients and was abusive verbally to me. His secretary was also!!!I see everyone who used him sees this
