This judge presided over the divorce case brought by my wife, the plaintiff. I went through 4 attorneys during the 3 year ordeal. Each one was scared out of their minds to take any kind of action to defend me in court with him on the bench. Each lawyer told me they feared retaliation in future cases they may have in his courtroom if they filed motions astride to him even if they were judicially sound. I refused to sign court papers that had gross inaccuracies and lopsided distribution of household wealth favoring my ex-wife. I was finally "persuaded" by judge Blydenburgh to sign the papers or he would sanction me ten thousand dollars and rule in her favor anyway. In hearing of his death i wish him mercy when he faces our ultimate judge to answer for his judicial actions resulting in ruined finances and lives.

This man saved my life and my children. My husband thought that no one would stand up to him but this one judge was courageous enough and I will be forever grateful.

This is a "judge" who follows neither the law nor the facts of the case. I can personnaly attest to just about everything written about him by previous commenters, as I have either personally experienced the same type of treatment, or observed him in court, abusing parties involved with other cases. I'm fairly literate, but I confess that I cannot find words sufficiently vile to properly describe the vindictive, condescending, uncaring attitude he displays toward everyone who walks into that courtroom. In my case, the PLAINTIFF declared, on the record, that she wanted to discontinue the case. Blydenburgh's reply was a red-faced, screaming tirade, which could only be described as a judicial "hissy fit" culminating with "Denied! Trial is set for 2 weeks..." Clearly, Blydenburgh was upset at the possible loss of an opportunity to display his power. There's a good reason that the other commenters have rated this judge with 1's across the board. Zeros were not an option.

Hi,I have also been subject to Blydenburgh. I have barley been able to see my son.If I didnt go along with what he said.He told me straight out he would send me to jail.

There is a reason he was not endorsed by the Suffolk County GOP. He is a complete moron who has destroyed many families in his court. He has had numerous complaints filed against him. I understand there are class action suits against him and more coming. As a judge he never came in to work on time, refused to address the needs of children, ignored evidence, and did everything in his power to run up his case load to lead us to believe he deserved a raise over his $160,000 year salary.

Ding Dong the Witch is dead. Finally his party caught wind of his inability to do his job and the public perception of him. Going through a divorce and was killed by him. Finally he recused himself afer much resistance. Now I am receiving a fair trial with a decent Judge. Now all they have to do is fix the system. Contested divorce and going on 4 yrs. with nothing to show except six figure legal fees. There should be a mandatory mediation, non-binding, to get most if not all the issues resolved. Of course Lawyers, Judges, and Politicians won't have that...less money for them.

The Judge has allowed my wifes Lawyer to lock up my money and 401K for over 6 months. THis has resulted in me being evicted, having my car repossessed and going hungry. He has allowed both Lawyers to drag this Uncontested Divorce which should have been settled in 6 months out to over 15 months. The Lawyers get richer while I get poorer. He hates men and God help you if you are a man filing for Divorce and you happen to draw him as a Judge.

This Judge is just evil and unprofessional. He made decesions with my ex and her lawyer without even contacting me or my lawyer, took thier words and inflated documents and made up abuse charges .This Judge did not want to listen to my lawyer and walked out three times durring trial. End result,went to jail and lost everything I ever earned. I hear the same story about him over and over!Blydenberg;DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE!

I have a friend who is being put through the ringer just trying to get a fair and just trial with Blydneburgh. He is a bias and discriminating person who uses his immunity as a judge to the fullest of his benefit. He is not suited to be on the bench and even more so definitely NOTsuited to be making life decisions for people when he doesn't even know how to make the right decisions for himself. He is unfit to be on the bench and should give up law and ove up to something more suitable for him....fishing at the end of a long pier!!!! He should be embarressed of his practice and that of the people he has working for him. He is a symbol of just a how unjust our justice system is and all the flaws with it.

The worst ever! All the men posting here who say he favors women were not present at MY divorce. After a TWO DAY trial in front of him to determine who should live where and to answer 2 orders of protection, he determined there should be no communication between me and my ex EXCEPT IN MATTER CONCERNING THE CHILDREN! WE HAVE NO CHILDREN! you think he might have wondered where the children were living during this time? This is after TWO DAYS in front of this horrible judge. He blatantly disregarded the emergency exceptions to the hearsay rule, disallowing the phone call I made when my ex-husband was in the process of trying to kill me, saying he wasn't convinced it was a real emergency. There are not enough horrible things to say about this terrible man!

this judge appoints child advocates to review the relationship with the parents, then disregards the advocates advice, and cuts off the parent-child relationship. He allows the fathers judge to get off the case because the father has no money, yet expects the father to pay outrageous fees for the ex's lawyer. unbelievable.

This judge has destroyed the life of a loving father and his two children. He has also destroyed the loving relationship of the children with the father's parents. He causes situations to worsen and worsen rather than ruling fairly and working towards a resolution. He sets you up for failure and then blames you for the outcome. He orders evaluations to determine visitation and then ignores the result, does what he wants without regard. How many more lives are to be destroyed before someone steps in? Complaints go unanswered.

This judge does not review any paperwork. He makes predetermined judgements without even hearing any facts. He refuses to review tapes or sworn letters. He's only concerned with screwing over whom ever he immediately doesn't like. There is NO justice in his court. He's been removed from supreme court once for complaints but now I hear he's back.
