Very unethical Attorney. Gave custody to my abusive child's father and then admitted that she liked the fact he made a good income. She's all about the money and does not care about the kids involved. She was hired as a CFI and was supposed to do her job without putting in her biased opinion. Her report was all biased and she overlooked my sons father past abuse criminal record. My son is a adult now and needs serious therapy for all the years of abuse he has endured from his father. Thanks Peggy your a awful person.

Peggy very calmly helped my family through a very difficult and extremely stressful period of divorce and child custody. We very much appreciated her extensive knowledge and calm demeanor. She is respected by the courts and local lawyers which helped a great deal. Her fees were quite fair and her work timely and impeccable. She was referred to us because we wanted someone who would be effective without escalating an already tense situation. We were very grateful for these qualities.

Peggy has been my attorney for nearly eleven years. She is very efficient, fair, and understands judges' temperaments and leanings. She explains things clearly and works for a fair outcome, always with the kids' welfare in mind. She is quick to return phone calls, delayed only by true conflicts, like being in court. She understands the law, mediation processes, and court processes and requirements. I highly recommend her for family law services.

Peggy Goodbody had my kids taken away from me based on lies and manipulation from my ex husband. Not only that, she also lied in front of the court and the judge. She ruined my life for 3 plus years and has changed me and my kids forever. Luckily, she lost in the end and I have my kids back now. I am not sure how she sleeps at night, but I do know that karma is real. Stay far away from this attorney unless you have money to waste and don't care about your kids. Shame on you Peggy Goodbody!

We chose Peggy Goodbody because she remains calm and sensible and doesn't contribute to the drama. She'll honestly tell you what your likely outcome will be and what a judge is likely to decide in your case. Some divorcing people may be itching for a fight and/or revenge but that's not her job. Her job is to interpret the law, tell you what will be considered fair by the courts and save everyone a lot of time, money, and aggravation. Divorce is never fair. Peggy's job isn't to screw your ex and the courts aren't interested in prolonging dramatic affairs. Peggy cuts through the drama and settles fairly and legally. T.v. lawyers get involved with their clients because it's good drama and makes you want to tune in next week. Real life doesn't work that way. When the time was right Peggy jumped right in with everything the law would allow to protect our child from an abusive alcoholic father. We recommend her, but if you want more drama go elsewhere.

Peggy has been my attorney for the past 8 years since my divorce. My ex-husband happens to be a skilled attorney and has a diagnosed personality disorder (narcissistic, sociopathic). To say he is difficult is an understatement. I have stuck with Peggy because she fully gets it, and she cares about my children. Not only has she effectively dealt with my insufferable ex, but she has charged me a discounted rate for years. I believe she is highly ethical, sharp, and caring.

Peggy Goodbody was my son's court appointed CFI. Her job was to protect my son but instead handed him to his father that was a know sex offender and has several charges of physical abuse to his mother. The end result was severe emotional issues of my son having to deal with his father abusing him and causing my son permanent emotional issues.

Peggy Goodbody is much more concerned for the best interest of her pocket book than on the children. If she is assigned as GAL, she will not respresent the children but the parent who pays the most of her legal fees. She should never be allowed to make any decisions regarding the best interest of any children.

Ms Goodbody represented me and she was awesome. If you are in the unfortunate situation of going through a divorce and if you have kids, I highly recommend her. She listens well, is very knowledgeable and was especially helpful with child-related issues. I suspect that the people contributing negative ratings were not represented by Ms. Goodbody and only wish they had done so.

Will support a client even though the recommendations of a CFI are to the contrary. Will drag out cases to put another buck in her pocket and does not take into consideration what the best of the children are, like stated above, even though a CFI recommends something that is not what her client wants, will still support her client and drag innocent children through the mud for the padding in her pocket. She is very unethical and will at the last minute try to come to an "agreement" that could have been taken care of with less hardship on the children and less expensive. BE WARE!!

I do not the basis for any of the negative comments above but our experience was EXCELLENT !!! Peggy was up front, honest and well prepared. Peggy is easy to talk with, explains things well and is easy to reach. Peggy communicates well on the phone, in person and in the court room. Peggy knows that judges want it simple and to the point and that long rambling narratives are not appreciated. Peggy either knows the case law in question or performs the necessary research. As far as cost....the most expensive lawyer in the world is the one who loses. You get what you pay for and we are pleased with the out come. We STRONGLY recommend Peggy. MD

I read the bad reviews and strongly disagree. I'm a divorced father of two, Peggy has done our parenting med/arb for 3 years. She is thorough, honest and hard working. She has made a number of arbitration decisions for us and they have all been fair. Her rulings are never EXACTLY what I wanted but always well thought out, earnest and appropriate. If you want a favorable ruling from Peggy as a CFI or Med/Arb do your homework, learn what any CFI or Med/Arb is looking for in these difficult situations and figure out how to tailor what you want within the guidelines of what is reasonable to expect when the court system (instead of you and your ex) has to make decisions about your children. My ex wife is as difficult to deal with as any, despite this Peggy has been able to sift through the nonsense for fair rulings. There are others in this town that are awful but I can attest to Peggy Goodbody and Dr. Jane Wells as being fair and reasonable if you are.

Watch out for this lawyer she is a bad cat. She does CFI work and will give a very biased one sided report. She will side with the highest bidder so if you want a lawyer that can be bought and take your chances then give her a try but if you don't want to chance losing your children by a woman that tends to side with the parent then she is your gal.
