i also strongly disagree with the negative comments. she is smart and strategic. calm at all times. allowed me to give lots of input. was willing to try all approaches including mediation and court if anything, she was too patient with the other side. i totally recommend her. reasonable rates as well.

Louise did a fine job for me, over many months; kept on track in negotiations. She thinks clearly and is very thorough. She was well prepared in court. Agreed fee was reasonable. She dealt with my feelings on the issues. The outcome was excellent against various delaying or bullying tactics of the other side.

Louise Morin will not rise to the expectations she sets during retaining a new client. She does not know the case law and would charge you an arm and a leg for the legal research. She does not stand up to the judge and only cares about herself. She is a classic example of a cold fish lawyer who only cares about billable hours. Expect $20K in monthly legal fees with no results in your family case. Benson Percival Brown should have fired this lawyer a long time ago for overcharging and underdelivering. If you care about your children and future in the family court look elsewhere for a good lawyer.

A lawyer who will lie, fabricate and bully. No sense of the need for justice only a need for her own personal win. She will set you asail the minute she is uncovered for her shady doings! If nothing else call her so she will have a conflict of interest and you will not have her tactics against you!

Ms Morin is very knowledgeable and thorough; unflappable. She is able to focus, calmly, on the essential issues. Her work was top rate. She has a fine sense of the human dynamics of situations and is excellent in negotiation. Since my funds were limited she was willing to consider adjusting rates. Since I was under a great deal of stress in a conflictual living situation, she was sympathetic and a good supportive backup person as well. The outcome of all this, for me, was excellent; there are many uncertainties in dealing with hearings and judges and she navigated these treacherous waters with great skill.

I so disagree with the negative comments above. She has been great with me. clear, calm, effective, organized. Helped me to figure out that my mediator was not good and that mediation was not the way to go with my ex. Very reasonable price given her knowledge and experience. I had to fire another lawyer and the mediation so i have a sense of who works well by now!! I totally recommend her.

She was terrible! Relied almost exclusively on her assistant to manage collection of financial disclosure (which opposing lawyer deemed inadequate - where was she to offer an opinion on this disclosure?), no tenacity, limited and poor communication on any strategy; went before a judge unprepared for settlement conference, during same conference did nothing to advocate for my position, quickly resigned to terminate the conference such that we'd have to litigate, demanded a ludicrously expensive retainer (which was triple what it eventually cost with other counsel). When I asked to discuss her strategy if we had to litigate, prior to deciding to pay the retainer, she delayed our meeting (I attempted to book several appointments), her answers were vague, and then as date of her demand for retained expired (which was 6 months in advance of court date – she said she needed the time to “prepare”), she quite. I'd urge anyone employing her to seek other counsel, QUICKLY!

It's unbelievable that she calls herself a family lawyer, she doesn't give a**** about the family or more importantly the kids. She will do anything to win and above all, extract more money from her clients. This includes outright lying and bullying opposing side. She is a disgusting woman and should not be used by anyone that has any reasonable amount of ethics.

Very tenacious and knowledgeable lawyer. She is extremely punctual, doesn't waste time, straight to the point. She was always quick and extremely effective in communicating with me and the other party's lawyer. She is highly organized and always prepared for every meeting and court appearance. She is also very reasonable, unlike most lawyers I met.

This lawyer is very tenacious in the court room. Out side of court, she is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. She did not charge me a fortune, like most lawyers do.

I have filed a complaint with the Ontario Law Society against Louise Morin. She's a poor comunicator by choice. I found her to be untruthful as well. I do not recomend her to anyone.
