True defense attorney through and through. There are so many attorneys that have just flipped sides but are still playing the same game, and this firm has never been that way. They believe in fighting for their clients and don't just cower to plea offers. The prosecution tried to trump up the charges to make them more intimidating, I believe so I would settle for lesser charges, but because I had someone on my side to fight all the way through, my case turned out very well for me with a win by dismissal, couldn't be happier.

Faced with a felony drug charge in Hays County, Jamie assigned Jerry Smith to represent us from his office. We were kept apprised of everything happening during the case. Jerry made me feel very much at ease in a very awkward situation for my family & I. It was a tough case as I didn't give them much to work with. Bottom line is they got me deferred adjudication and kept me out of jail. I was very pleased with the results.

I was recently arrested for DWI/Possession of marijuana. Jamie and his entire staff did an amazing job. LIFESAVER! I was reluctant to trust one of Jamie's staff attorney's but he really does hire GREAT associates. TRISTAN was excellent and pulled me out a a horrible fire. I had a DWI charge in Hays county and then got one in Bexar. I am a pretty responsible and professional person and never thought I'd ever be in this position in my life. We went to trial 2 times for Hays county and then able to get Obstruction of a Hwy deferred adjudification. WOW. I have an opportunity for a job that looks promising. I was arrested for two Class A Misdemeanors and was facing a year in jail on each charge. The prosecution had a very weak case and was taking their time moving this forward to a jury trial. After much postponement, the prosecution was ready to discuss a plea bargain. My lawyers were able to successfully negotiate a plea agreement which entailed dismissing one of the charges all together and lowering the other charge to a Class C Misdemeanor with a 90-day deferment and a fine. After the successful completion of the 90-day deferment, the Class C Misdemeanor would be dismissed. I believe this plea agreement was in my best interest as it avoided going to trial, which we felt our case was strong and in our favor based on the facts, but it still would have been a crapshoot as to whether we were going to get a favorable jury considering this occured in a small town. A special thank you to Jerry Smith, Tristan Dau, and Tracy Holder for all of your hard work on my case.

Mike R , after a long search I found a true warrior on the low hand DWI battle , you know one drink and you go to jail ! Listen to him about your rights . At Voir Dire Jammie is multi dimensional with those who could hang you and a Constitutionalist . Don't forget an ex cop . Look there's not one like him , to give bad cops & prosecutors enough rope to hang them selfs. Down to earth common sense regular guy . I saw the staff kick some you know what . I think Mr. Balagia has good working knowledge. However, he is too busy running the United States engaging in speaking engagements, that his law practice is suffering. Note: very expensive, POOR customer service. No call backs, you won't know where your case is....

I used Jamie to help me through a legal nightmare. His advice was both timely and squarely on point. Without him, I would have likely ended up in jail for quite some time.
