Chris Carouthers & Associates has been wonderful, they helped me out through the entire process. Anytime I had a question Brad was there to answer it and help me out. The Confirmation process was a breeze with his help. I will be recommending this company to everyone.

My husband and i filed chapter 7 in Aug 2014 and Chris and his staff have been amazing. They kept us in the loop about everything. If we had any questions either him or Brad would return our calls or shoot me an email. I have recommended Chris and his staff to several people. All of those people are very satisfied with his service as well.. The only issue i have had was getting my post filing credit course filed at the courthouse. But i have no doubt that that will get taken care of very quickly.

Completed my chapter 7 and got my discharge recently. I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS FIRM. Customer service was AWESOME!! All the staff were very helpful and answered all my questions. I am sooo relieved!!

I give Chris Carouthers and Associates an F rating. This lawyers is HORRIBLE! He/they will not call you back, nor will they complete your paperwork in timely manner and then they act as if you are too do the work. You pay $4000.00 for them to file your claim and you end up doing most of the work. If I would have read some of these comments about this dude..I would have ran. I can say that Doris is nice and if you get Tracie the lawyer she's great. But the rest of the staff HECK NO! I would highly recommended Clark and Washington they are the best. I wish I had of went with them. Run fast and spread the word about Chris Carouthers and Associates.

I used Chris Carouther's and Associates for chapter 13. I only had one year left and they came back and said my case was about to be dismissed because there was a step up in my plan and I was behind. My payments were going to triple. I had to let that case dismiss and refile. That is when I should have found a new attorney. Now I am in the same situation. I am 1-1/2 years into my new case and being told my payments need to double. I am a week away from my case dismissing again. I made it clear when I filed this time I did not want any steps. They never gave me a copy of the paperwork filed with the courts so I don't know what the court agreement was. They did not inform me in August that my payments were suppose to increase. They are crooked, don't return calls and don't follow thru. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE this attorney. I am going to report them to the bar.

These reviews must be made by the office workers. I have never been able to get in contact with them, it takes emails after emails and call after call. They are TERRIBLE with communication and I am less than 7 days from resolution from my case and can't get anyone to call me back or help me. This has been the WHOLE time I have been working with this lawyer for 2 years now.

I was referred to Mr. Carouthers Law Firm by a co-worker. My case went great and I've started rebuilding my credit. Staff was very nice and helpful. I have referred others to Mr. Carouthers and they all have had a good experience. Chris is busy, but aren't most good attorneys!

I filed a chapter 7 I meet with Chris and told him that I would like to keep my home and my auto. For months my bank sent documentation to the law firm and they lost the papers then when I asked Chirs or his legal person to call me or the bank they never called them when my chapter 7 bankruptcy was dismised the auto was not on the documentation When I ask Chirs to fix the mess he took so long to return my calls I would email him every day and Doris receptionist would lie and tell me that Chris file the papers and woulf give me dates of the filing. Finally I got a letter form the banruptcy courts saying it was to late to file the papers to keep my auto. I had to work out at plan with my bank. I am paying for the auto it has been over a year I have not been late but I am not getting credit on my credit reports because on the chapter 7 the auto show returned. Stay a way from this lawyer and his staff. I there is any one who would like to file a class action suite call 678-755-3601 lets do

Mr. Carouther's is extremely knowlegeable about the law and when i was able to catch him, he was able to put my fears to rest. Sometimes i had to keep calling to get him. I know I was not his only client but i wanted to feel like i was. Now in hindsight that my case has been resolved maybe that was not realistic. The reception lady there is really friendly and nice.

May be there is a reason he is a good value. The quality of the legal work is really bad. I filed chapter 7 with this office and they left several items out of the bankruptcy filing. I should have followed my instinct and left with I saw files everywhere. The firm is disorganized and the legal work is awful at best. I can deal with bad staff if the legal wok is great. I did not have a problem with the staff - they were ok. The legal work is just pitiful!! If you can pay more do it, paying less and receiving incompetent service is not worth it. I will advise anyone to stay away!

If you see this attorney run!!! His office staff rates ZERO. They are discourteous, fail to return phone calls, and give misinformation. Chris also will not return phone calls, nor will he do other services for which he has been paid. He filed my Chapter 13, and attended the first meeting--but after that you are on your own. When I complained to the Trustee's office, they gave me the number for the State Bar of Georgia (404-527-8759) and advised I file a complaint. I hope everyone out there who has been duped by this firm will do the same. Like I said, if you see them coming, RUN!!!! They are the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of being associated with. Please, please, I hope you read the reviews before you contact them because if you don't, may the good Lord help you.

Beware! Chris is a terrible lawyer he and the people in his office especially Doris are so rude and absolutely will not let you speak to anyone in the office that can help you with any problem. She will make your blood pressure boil. I think he knows the laws but is only in it to see how many he can file as fast as he can. Once filed you are on your own. Pray that you do not have any proplems that you need any help with. Our 13 was dismissed and he we paid him to reopen the case which he never did he, told us the motion had been filed. Caused our car to be repossed and cost us thousands to get it back. Had to hire another attorney to help us and cost us thousands more of unnessary dollars. He lied to us to our face twice and we confirmed with the court motion was never filed. I am rating him so this will not happen to anyone else. Caused us alot of sleepless nights. Find another lawyer to help you check them out there is a few decent ones out there but it is definetly not CHRIS!!

OMG!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before I retained Chris myself. I totally agree w/the fact that they are real quick to take your money but you definitely will not get a call back....AT ALL!!! I always had to make follow up calls and he NEVER returned any of my calls. I can tell you that he did give me 1 call regarding a pymt & that was it. The staff is very unprofessional & give bad advice. Their is def. a lack of communication b/w all staff. I had to end up retaining another firm to finish the job. I would not recommend anyone to this firm!!

I agree about Chris's staff. Doris thinks she is in a position to give legal advice. I called once and she was telling me that she was "pretty sure" about my question, and when I called her on it to ask if she was positive, she backed off and had Patricia call me. Patricia does not listen, and only hears what she wants to hear. Chris is smart and approchable (albeit very hard to contact by phone) but his staff will bring him down with them. The best and only way to get time with Chris is to go wherever he is - but get there early!

I would have to agree that Doris and Pat are extremely difficult. We had several runins caused by rudeness and total lack of professionalism. I resolved my communication issues by threatening to go to my trustee about the service. I found that the best way to get Chris is by setting up an appointment where ever he happens to be any particular day. Chris is very professional-he did go to law school and understands that his license is at stake. His employees, however, will be his ruin. I was stood up in court only to find out that the court date was rescheduled. I can't tell you how happy I am that the case was confirmed. However, I have another 4 years (instead of 2) and have to pay $200 more per mth. than what Jill (the person who I had the initial consultation with) told me. If you're a pro at filing bankruptcy, then select this attorney. If you're a virgin, like I was, then find someone else. The process is stressful enough without having to guess about what comes next.

Chris never returns my calls and he one of those fast talking attorneys that take your money and will not file your case in a timely manner. Never comes to court always send someone else. I am very dissatfied with his service. He is costly me more money than I can afford.

I have had this attorney for may Chp 13 case and am very disappointed in quality of service. It usually takes several calls before I get a call back and then there is no follow up. They take your money and you never hear from them. Beware

I hired Mr. Carouthers to handle my Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing. During the creditors hearing, the Trustee pointed out several documentation errors and was kind enough to allow him time to fix the mistakes. A couple of the mistakes could have made my term last 60 months rather than 36 and would have allowed one of my creditors to secure a priority position though they are not traditionaly a priority claimant. Mr. Carouthers did not attend my confirmation hearing. A lawyer representing other clients approached me and offered to help me through the hearing at no cost to me. Mr. Carouthers showed up as we were leaving the meeting. She told him she would send him a bill. I hope she did. Finally, Mr. Carouthers has only returned one phone call and that was the call I made while I was shopping attorneys. Since that call, I have had to insist that I wait on hold until he takes my call. I have paid his fee in full. Buyer beware.
