He represented my ex some years ago in our divorce. I could not afford a lawyer and had to go to court without one. My ex lied under oath, Mr Cancellare knew it and allowed it. He told me the only thing I could say was "I neither confirm nor deny". He told me if I didn't he would keep bringing me back to court until I had to take so many days off work I would lose my job. He is a dishonest bully.

He is most concerned about how much money he can get from a case. When it came down the line, his associate was intimidated by an appellate judge and agreed to something without consulting the client. Opposing side eventually lost their appeal but my case lost valued time. Does not care about client issues at all. Would not recommend at all. He gets his clients because he knows the judges.

I was forced to use Chas by the courts as a law guardian to represent my 13 year old twins approx. 7 years ago and while it doesn't matter now, he was one of the worst attorneys I ever met. He only spoke with my children for 30 minutes each over 9 months and i had to pay him over $8,000 for nothing. He was no help at all in court, just stood there and said nothing. He made nasty comments about me, the children's father, even though he had only spoken with me for a total of 60 minutes over 9 months and knew nothing about me. I fully believe the attorneys and the judges work together screwing hard working families out of their life savings, which is what he did along with my attorney and my ex wife's attorney. Do what ever you can not to use a law guardian unless your children are in danger. Chas was a nightmare!

Money hungry could care less about the interest of children involved just money. Won custody despite him and Sari Freidman's best effort to screw up my childrens lives.

Chas was my attorney in a divorce matter. He was attentive, supportive through a very difficult time, and understood how to cut to the chase. I agree with a previous reviewer in that he will fight the good fight. He will vociferously advocate for you, but he is a realist as well, and he will evaluate your position as well as your adversary's. Most importantly, he knows how to strike a deal, and when not to accept one (my case settled). My ex and I share the parenting of our children now and are each on a path towards that next chapter. If you are divorcing, Chas is a great hire.

Chas represented my ex-girlfriend's children in custodial matters with her estranged husband. Chas was extremely fair, thoughtful and helpful in bringing about a more favorable outcome for her.

I have to say Chas had my children in his best interest. He did everything he said he could do for me and more. Easy guy to talk to, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re just another appointment in his day. I felt he was genuine with me through the whole ordeal. His partner Curt is an outstanding attorney as well. He stepped in for Chas to help me out. Second to none attorney! Very approachable, friendly, down to earth firm. If you are fighting the good fight, and need a confident, fair and no nonsense attorney talk to Chas or Curt. Court battles are messy but Chas certainly made it as quick and painless as it could have possibly been. Most important fought for what was right for my children and delivered! Semper Fi

I agree with everything that was written,this man was the lowest form of scum. All that mettered to him was money.He outright lied and protected the mother with all evidence pointing to her wrongs. I did win my children so yhis is not written because of being a sore loser.But him and sari Freidman were money hungry low lives that could care less about children or fathers rights and care only about incoming checks.They should both be dis barred it is a shame how the court system lets this go on. I hope they are both investigated and stopped.

Mr. Cancellare is by far the best attorney anyone can ask for. My kids loved him. He was fair,honest and was always there for us. I wouldn't listen to all the bad about him unless you met with him first. I have to assume if anyone has anything bad to say it's because they didn't win their case and rightfully so.

Chas did what I asked of him. We settled out of court and I am happy with the results, two people, plenty of kids and heading down the road to a new life. Guess it is easy for a lot of your folks comments to be negative. Chances are if Chas has been brought into the situation to protect children then you people should take a good harsh look in the mirror. Easier to place blame elsewhere I guess but if it has gotten that bad then you guys are the bad ones.

Court appointed him in my case. I read these posts first and so far I disagree with 90% of them. Was understanding, compassionate and down to earth. My child liked him too. Meet him first before you jump to conclusions.

He was horrible, did not investigate that the mother was on drugs,arrested and he condoned the lies the mother told about everything even when it was proven to be lies ,,,he did nothing. .

Law guardian for children in contested divorce, and then for custody fight. Lots of false allegations - he saw through most of it. He worked very hard, but I didn't let him rest much either. I have custody of my kids now - he was critical of me, but in the end, did what was right (mine and just about everyone else's opinion who was involved). If you require a law guardian or divorce lawyer, I would recommend him.

As a law guardian, only met with my children one time, at the beginning of the divorce. Never spoke to them again after that, even when abuse situations began happening to both them and me, their mom.
