She ruined our life , I can easily say. The court weighs heavily on GALS. This was a SEVERE divorce including my littlest with a disability. She did NOT review anything or anybody regarding her disability , not did she LISTEN to my story. She set the rest of the presedence for myself and my family. Utter suffering and sorrow.

This lady must have a brain injury or something, because she is severely unfit for the duties of a GAL. She doesn't advocate for children, she is careless and puts children in DANGEROUS homes. Thanks to her, my child was put in the custody of an abusive farher that beat the crap out of him. They lived in a car! My kid lived in a freaking car with an abusive man! Way to go, Joanne! She ripped a kid from his loving, healthy family and cut him off from the mom who could have protected him and a sibling that adored him. (Recommended my losing visitation!). This woman doesn't give a crap about children, she is too lazy to read police reports and too dishonest to not lie to a judges face in court. This 'woman' needs to be disbarred. She's a threat to the safety of children.

I agree, Joanna Primavera only cares about the money. It is not about the children she is supposed to represent. In fact, she does not represent the best interests of the children at all. Instead, she chooses which party she likes more and bases her recommendations on what that specific party is requesting. In my opinion, she does not conduct any type of an investigation. We gave her enough information to shoot holes into the validity of the claims made by the Respondent in the case. An idiot could have read the documentation we supplied and concluded there were valid reasons to make the requests we made. She failed to do her job. She failed to represent the children in the case. She pretty much represented the Respondent. She should definitely retire. I would not recommend her to anyone for any reason. I would not want her to represent me in court as an attorney or allow her within earshot of any child. She is a horrible excuse for a professional.

My experience with Joanne Primavera was in 1993. Sadly, the currents comments here are typical of my experience. Her estimated cost was $500.00 and she needed two weeks. She interviewed myself, the mother, and a neighbor chosen by the mother. at our next court appearance she asked for a continuance, parenting classes, and a Custodial Psychological Evaluation. Next court appearance, another continuance. She wanted more time, and tried to convince the Judge I needed anger management. Judge didn't buy it. Her report made note of CPS reports but she never went to DSHS to review or validate. Ultimately, the mother agreed to surrender custody, but during the negotiations, she made every effort to infuriate the mother and sabotage any agreement. End result $500 & 2 weeks went to over $2100 and months. But I got my son, in spite of Joanne Primavera. This woman should not represent the interest of a pet much less a child.

She was chosen as the GAL when my abusive, drug using ex took my 3 children. She did a shoddy investigation. She also disregarded my statements about my ex because I had no "proof," yet believed the outright lies about me -- with no "proof." My children are being emotionally and verbally abused on a daily basis. This is why I left their father 5 years ago. I am going to do whatever I can to get her removed as a GAL.

Joanne Primavera does not care about anything but the money. She is not interested in the best interest of your children. Get a new GAL immediately!!! I wish we would have gone with our gut feeling about her. She has taken the word of a man with 6 felonies and 4 gross mis. concvictions. The court blocked him from being around the children. She came into our case and had this man lie to her about several issues. She will not hold him accountable. She thinks he is fine to be around the childrenbecasue he claims to be a changed man. She did not read the file that included the information about the crimes he committed. She is lazy in her work and she does not get the details right. I am looking to get people together for a class action suite against this woman. She need to retire!!! She does not care that someone lies to her even if you show her the facts.

This lady is out of touch and to old to connect with kids and should retire. She pushes her beliefs and interests without looking at the best interest of the child. Joanne is very unorganized, does not respond to emails, spent very little time with our child and produced a 3 page report. The report had no details and would not have even counted as a draft for report that a 6th grader would turn in. She needs to retire and let someone who cares about child met with them.

My son ended up living with a convicted sex predator for 3 years. Nice job, Joanne. Ignored evidence, held up proceedings, biased interviews, concerned only with her bill, ignored phone calls, she is a disgrace to the profession.

Primavera seems to be a lazy GAL, who seems to lack concern for children. she doen't effectively review her cases, seems biased against some mothers, and it appears that she is simply relying on her reputation of being a good GAL from years past, but now just shows up at court, she is very unprofessional in her reviewing her cases. It is quite evident that she has no real ethics, which is detrimental to the children she is appointed to protect. She shows a lack of willingness to do any real work, and relies of whats easiest than what is best for the child. She lacks regard for the welfare of the children and is more worried about getting paid. Her loyalties lie with how much money she recieves based on the parents and not reality. She dosen't have the time or drive to do her job. Beware, many folks are afraid to report her to the Bar because he has so much power with their kids. This lady needs to retire, for the kids sake.

My daughter came down with headlice several times at the noncustodial parents home. Joanne laughingly stated it would not be the last time she would get lice. She told my attorney she was concerned that my daughter got such good grades and my house was so clean. My daughter was seeing a child counselor. Joanne never visited or called the counselor. Joanne frequented the home of the noncustodial parent and was on unusually friendly terms with him. I agreed to a parenting plan over the phone with Joanne and when we met to sign it, she had written the plan up completely differently, a plan which I thought put my child at risk. Joanne overlooked the anger issues, which resulted in violent outbursts, the noncustodial parent had. Thank goodness the judge witnessed one of the violent outbursts and issued a no contact order, against the wishes of Joanne Primavera. I felt she lacks understanding of protecting a child and remaining objective.

Our court appointed guardian ad litem. Extremely thorough investigation of custody case, even combined 2 trips to other states to meet the other parent and their surroundings, we only had to pay for a very small part of the trip, and only the actual time it took for her to go to noncustodial parent. Prompt return of calls. Patient w/ questions. Extremely thorough in paperwork. Well worth the money.Also very knowledgeable about kids and their issues dealing with divorce. Great ideas on how to help our troubled daughter. Really seems to care about her and her future.
