Larry is a class act and a rare lawyer who actually cares about his clients. Don't confuse giving honest counsel with laziness! Larry tells it like it is (even when it isn't something you want to hear) and he does what he can to keep costs down. I've been represented in court three times with Larry and was very satisfied. I would trust him with my life...he is a stand up guy. It's a shame many people blame the lawyer when it's usually the judges and the legal system itself which is whack.

We have found Mr. Bowen to be pleasant to work with and talk with, straight forward with his advice, and responsive to our questions. He was sensitive to our needs, and while providing advice and guidance, was not pushy at all as to which way we should go. While the costs for attorney services are always high, we didn’t feel like Mr. Bowen was ever trying to run costs up…actually the contrary in many aspects. His approach in trial was effective and successful. We know others that have used Mr. Bowen's service with success as well.

Larry Bowen is the absolute worst lawyer I have ever seen. If your case requires any work whatsoever prepare to pay a lot of money and still lose. He will glad-hand you and take your phone calls all the time hoping somebody else will settle the case or do the hard work. He is clearly past his prime and I would argue he is so bad he borders on negligent. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER or his firm unless you want to lose all of your money, your belongings, and your children.

Mr. Bowen was my divorce attorney during my short stay in Va. Fortunately,he was my first choice of the many attorneys in the D.C. metro area. I must say I was very pleased with his honesty,patience,knowledge of the law,and overall outcome of divorce settlement. I would strongly recommend Mr.Bowenas if you need a divorce attorney(especially military divorce).

There is absolutely no way that the previously posted negative feedback was provided by a legitimate source. I was recently a client of Mr. Bowen’s and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with his services. He was extremely attentive and knowledgeable throughout the entire process and the result of the trial was a product of that. I would recommend him to anyone.

Larry is basically a very polite but lazy lawyer. Be prepared for a very charming and earnest first meeting at which you'll pay your deposit, followed by months of him not returning your calls or emails. After shopping around and finding another lawyer, it was clear that he's not really respected or feared by other divorce lawyers, which sort of kills any chance at winning in court. He prefers to try to settle at all costs, and if you happen to be a husband person a fair cut of your marital assets from a vindictive ex-spouse, you're pretty much screwed. Larry never seems to be prepared for a fight: he never has answers to questions (yours or the judge's), and he constantly procrastinates when it comes time to strategize. Larry is a terrific divorce attorney if you don't care about winning your case.
