Guy is a joke. Was having private conversations with my ex wife on his personnel cell phone. Has zero communication skills and even yells at the parties. Guy just expected me to write a check to my ex and when I said no he replied I can’t help you and hung up!! Guy should be dis barred!! Don’t ever use this fraud he is only about money!!!

Simply the best! He worked with me for about 5 years on various custody, litigation, divorce proceedings. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and an excellent strategist. I highly recommend him. He can be tough if you need him to be but he's also very fair, decent officer of the court. I can't recommend him enough!Jennifer

Mr Finkel does not know the law, does not look out for the client, and can barely mediate (he calls other to do his mediation work). I would never trust this man's legal advice! It's a waste of money and time. Stay away

ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL!!! a "mediator" for my divorce. He is anything but a mediator and if you are the man in the divorce he will do his best to misinform and manipulate you. Alan likes to use terms like "oh that's just standard" when describing things that threw up huge red flags for me. I am now in the middle of spending over 20k to correct the blatant mistakes Alan made! He determined that my disability pension I collect was 100% a marital asset when in fact only 10% is a marital asset. That error alone has cost me over 10k in over payments to my ex. There are too many other mistakes to list...some in my favor...others in hers. All in all a complete waste of money and an arrogant person to deal with. Don't waste your time or money!

i can only praise alan finkel for the fantastic job he did on my divorce that just became official. three children under ten, two houses, a professional dental practice that had to be evaluated. all done within a year, only a few court appearances. he settled the case professionally, quickly and for a very reasonable fee. thank you, mr. finkel. anyone considering getting a divorce should call him first.

Alan was MY attorney and he is a terrible communicator. He seems disinterested in the personal trauma and only interested in making money. He only made matters worse for both parties which also effects any children involved. With the vast choice of attorney's available, it would be wise to stay away from this one.

I was so happy when I walked out of this office after my divorce was final because Mr. Finkel did everything in his power to make this a quick, easy, and amicable process. Although divorces are very tough for families to deal with, Mr. Finkel really put his compassion out there for us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I have been to many lawyers before him and I always felt that my name was on a folder in their office and nothing more, but in this office, he made it his mission to make me feel comfortable and he was very personable. All in all, EXCELLENT lawyer !!

When addressing my divorce, which was highly charged and quite ugly, Alan proved himself to be an expert negotiator and ultimately a peacemaker. He deftly addressed issues that could have ruined everything from my own reputation, to my career (quite literally) to my credit score. Aggressive when necessary and otherwise properly assertive, Alan was the sole reason that my situation remained bearable and tenable. In the end, my satisfaction with his services was not a matter of being "victorious," but was instead a function of finding the right perspective in a very difficult time and then having the knowledge base and skill to see it through. You would do well to hire Mr. Finkel.

The guy screwed up my divorce. Its not even a full feldged divorce a simple mediation and the guy couldnt get it right. The first time the filing was rejected by NY state, My ex was notified so we had to go back and have him re do it. After listening to how the state is wrong but he will correct it to satisfy them the paperwork was resubmitted. 3 Years later, a month before I was to be remarried we applied for a marriage license & found out I was never divorced according to NYS. I called Mr. Finkle & was told it would have to be refiled for an additional $1000 and $250 to speed up the process so I can be legally divorded when my already planned second wedding was to take place. He could not guarantee it would be done in time & told me to hire an actor to be the priest, not tell anyone including my new wife & nobody would no the difference. I swear to you. You cant make this crap up. Stay away from this arrogant, ignorant joker.

He did an amazing job on my divorce. He is very knowlegeable and clever. His firm took care of my needs through every aspect of the divorce. Im happy with the result.

he is arrogant,biased, and self-serving. His attitude is pompous, and condescending. He tried to get me to play games with my insurance coverage. He "gave away the store", as far as I was concerned. Needs to retire to his sports where he can only hurt himself.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Finkel to other couples facing divorce. He is a kind and compassionate mediator who really knows his stuff. I was very impressed with his staff as well -- very professional and courteous. Mr. Finkel's knowledge and experience in mediation helped guide me through a very difficult and trying situation. His fees were very reasonable as well and my overall experience was extremely positive.
