Mr Rubenstein is a good man and lawyer. He honorable strengths to be recognized, he had weaknesses. In my experience, I felt ambivalence. He was a man who did care about your circumstance, was supportive, communicated the law, and corresponded on all matters. Most times, he represented me excellently in a drawn-out divorce; other times, he unintentionally failed me. He did not aggressively follow through in two major areas after the divorce, when I needed a lawyer to protect me/my child emotionally. I sensed sometimes there was a dance that goes on with money, judges, reputation that have nothing to do with clients. This a complicated system, with other human motivations impacting behavior. Lawyers deserve to be paid, and money helps get what you need done. Anger about lack of money, may be partially displaced onto Mr. Rubenstein. Having money allows you more power to find justice. This is capitalism at its worst, but not his fault. Mr. Rubenstein was fair financially. SR D

I am a current client of Mr. Rubenstein and over the last 2 years he has zealously advocated for me in my divorce and custody case. He is always punctual to meetings and court appearances, and has always made himself accessible and available whenever I had any concerns, including on the weekends and holidays. He answered any questions I had and was always sympathetic to my feelings during this stressful and emotional process, but always offered honest professional and personal advice. I was not in a good financial situation since the start of my divorce and Mr. Rubenstein was always fair concerning his fees. He always provided detailed invoices so I knew exactly what I was being billed for, but worked with me to keep the fees as reasonable as possible. In fact, he continued to represent me even when I was not able to pay him, and continued to advocate for me to produce quality results. I was pleased with the settlement that he negotiated for me and highly recommend his services.

I just finished settling a child support case with Mr. Rubenstein as my attorney. He acted fair and professional with me throughout my case and I was not fleeced at the end of my proceedings as I thought. He is not out to take your money, but he is offering a service for an hourly rate. When my case was over he offered a bit of advice to me and was humane about my situation by sharing about his own life experiences in a gracious way. He provides very detailed itemized bills for his service. He will be fair with you from the beginning. He didn’t necessarily win my case, but he prevented me from making mistakes that could have cost me more money in the long run. I will recommend Mr. Rubenstein to anyone I know that needs legal services.

I just finished a 6 year trial in family court. Rubenstein deceived his client into continuing the trial for all these 6 years, all the while promising a victory for her. The end result was a total failure and a financial disaster for his client, because the court dismissed her petition and she was forced to pay Rubenstein his counsel fees for the 6 years at $400 per hour for achieving nothing at court. Rubenstein is nothing more that a greedy duplicitous con man and so poor a lawyer that the judge told him 3 times that she has seen mentally ill litigants perform better than him.

Attended a third rate law school. Is full of himself. Lied to the court and to me. Office is in the parking lot of Macys Charges ridiculous fees for substandard work.

This man is using all my poor mothers money and is tricking her just because she doesn't speak English. This trial has been going for 10 years already and my parents still have not been divorced. He is taking the money and extending the trial just to get more. We are broke and the family crisis isn't being solved. I bet I could be a better lawyer than him. He is an old idiot who takes all the money and doesn't do anything.

This man is truly a ridiculous spectacle to watch in court. The judge told him 3 times that she has seen mentally ill litigants perform better than he does ! He has a huge ego, yet performs so poorly but is extremely greedy when it comes down to his fees he demands up front, despite the lousy results he consistently delivers. IN addition, he lies. Avoid this man. There are far better, more homest lawyers who do perform out there

This guy doesn't do anything until the last minute. Also, not communicative and does not respond to calls/ emails. When you finally do speak with him, he gets aggressive and claims to be busy, yet responds quickly when he wants to get paid. Huge ego for a minor league player that is not warranted.
