An incredibly effective DUI attorney. He helped us with a seemingly hopeless case, NEVER gave up, appealed every which way and finally got the case over turned. We thank god every day for him!!

Mr. Genis went above and beyond in my defense during trial. His passion and dedication was always present. He went as far as to file an appeal for free simply because he believed it was the right thing to do.
Occassionally he goes a bit far in his commentary during trial due to his passion, and there was some lack of communication during the course of my case. That being said, he and his entire office know what they are doing and will fight for you!

In December I was pulled over turning into my community for "expired registration" even though it wasn't but because I am from Nevada our registration sticker is different and the cop thought it was expired. Long story short, because I am under 21 the cop gave me a DUI for .02%. I was freaking out because I didn't want my parents to find out and I just wanted to take care of everything myself. I researched all lawyers in Santa Barbara, and Mr. Genis was the ONLY one that wanted to meet me in person. As soon as I met him and we talked, I knew he was the one. He was so caring and generous , he let me know that nothing is 100% but he will do everything he can to help me not loose my license. Through out the whole process Mr. Genis and his assistance have been keeping me informed with everything that is happening with my case. They always reply so quickly, and I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer. In the end three months later, Mr. Genis won my case, and I was found not guilty.

I hired Cole Casey the 2nd time I was arested for DUI. What I would recommend about Cole Casey is that he actually takes cases to trial. I found out later that the 1st lawyer I hired had never actually done a jury trial. I prepared for trial with Cole's firm but I was offered a dry reckless that morning. I took the deal, but I bet Cole woulda won the case. Anyway, after all my research on lawyers I realized how important it is to find out whether they have actually taken cases to trial or if they just get plea bargains. Also, I liked that he didn't charge me anything to go to trial. My first lawyer charged so much for trial I just couldn't afford it. I recommend this lawyer highly.

There is no doubt that this lawyer has a good knowledge of the legal system and provided some good advice relating to my case. However, his knowledge was only applied prior to entering a contract and paying the fees. After the fees were paid, I found for the most part that I was on my own with respect to almost every decision and detail of the case except to actually have a lawyer show up and speak in court proceedings. I would guess that a public defender would have provided more assistance than is provided by this lawyer. The same applies to others in his office. Once the fees were paid, there was minimal assistance, and phonecalls and e-mails are not returned. I cannot recommend this lawyer based on my experience.

Attorney Casey was worth his fee. He had a great rapport with the judge. I hired him and he won my case. I wish he would take my personal injury case but he only does DUI, which is probably why he's so good at it. I actually sent him a thank you card because he really worked tenaciously to defend me.

Legal matters were a completely foreign thing to me when I first contacted Mr. Casey. He calmed me down and explained my options to me thoroughly. Having an understanding of what was going on during each step of the process allowed me to live my life while my case was still active. Additionally, Mr. Casey was able to get much better results than I ever imagined. He also showed great care and compassion throughout the duration of my case. He took away all of my fear and nervouseness of being in a courtroom. I've since then recommended him to several friends and will continue to recommend him.

I don't have many words to explain how badly this lawyer burned me leaving me with a criminal record and charging high fees. People, I am a regular user and please listen to my advise, don't go with this lawyer. He is just interested in taking your money and has no "connections" with the court personnel (if he tells you that). It will be hard to even speak to him once you have paid your money.

My complete and total thank you to Cole. I called around, met with lawyers all over town, and heard every sales pitch imaginable. Old friend refers me to Cole Casey, decided to trust his judgment... met with Cole, and finally met someone who didn't give me a sales pitch. Underpromised and overdelivered.... I have no criminal record to date. Thank you, Mr. Casey.

I hired casey to handle my daughter's second drunk driving arrest, and he was excellent. We thought it was going to trial but turned out we didn't have to because he got her first offense removed. He was out of the office with a health problem for awhile, but once he came back everything was good..very good.A great lawyer,in my opinion
