I retained Karen McGuire as my attorney to represent me in a divorce action following the breakdown of mediation between myself and my former spouse. Personally, there was much on the line as I was housing and caring for my three teen and young adult children, one of whom was beginning his first year of college. I had obtained my nursing license during the course of my marriage and was unsure of how the valuation of same would affect my financial outcome. My instinct was to protect myself so that I, in turn, could protect my family. Once I spoke with and ultimately retained Karen McGuire, I was able to let go of much of my anxiety. When she or one of her highly capable and professional staff members told me not to worry, I didn't worry. I truly felt that each of these people had mine and my family's best interest in mind with every step of the legal process. At such a turbulent time, it was gratifying to feel that I had someone to battle for me, and I could focus on my family.

Worst attorney I ever used. She is the least understanding - the least considerate and she charges top dollar as if she went ot Harvard when in fact she went to some crappy school in new England. Don't waste your time or money - she is not worth it - if you use her you will find to for yourself. You've been warned!

I am very glad I hired Karen McGuire to represent me in my divorce. I did this at the recommendation of a friend who used her and got great results. Feel she understands what I'm going through and reassures me everything will be fine and will make sure I get everything I deserve for myself and kids. Very emotional for me but see what a fighter she is and won't be bullied by my husband and his attorney. So glad I have her in my Corner.

The worst experience.....worse than the divorce itself. NEVER followed through on ANYTHING! I had to hire another atty to complete divorce and Karen Mc Guire handled it so badly in the beginning stages, there was little my new attorney could do to correct her mistakes. She never wanted me in court, so when my new atty requested that I go, I felt the judge was already prejudiced. Knowing now what I know, she totally submarined me before that judge. I lost before the case even proceeded. Wanted to take her before the bar but was so emotionally exhausted I could not face another court date. She is a big talker and not a doer. Beware of this woman. Money hungry, unethical, charges for things and does not like to be questioned about anything. Takes advantage of people who are already emotionally fragile.Three years, almost 100k and she failed miserably. I would never recommend her and have warned people to stay away from her. You know what they say about Karma? I feel sorry for her .

Karen McGuire was hired by my wife regarding the custody of my grandson. though she represents well in a courtroom,an ethical attorney should never sell services uneeded. the case was in our favor from the get go,and Karen new quite well we did not need her at this time.I am in the catering industry and would never sell someone something they didn't need based on emotions.so in summation,karen McGuire is a good attorney knowledge wise,but extremely unethical for taking unnecessary money from unsuspecting clients.this unethical behavior is wrong!! I choose to forgive you,but I will never recommend you.i meet people from all works of life on a daily basis.thank you.

This Attorney takes your money, does nothing, charges bogus fees, then sends you on your way! However in her defense that's how all Attorneys are today! None of them have ethics they are never accountable for mistakes or erroneous fees, they lie, and there should be something done about this. We live in a society of false hope, and can not trust anyone we hire. She is a fraud stay away from her. Her secretary is the one getting paid from your money by listing bogus phone calls to her and that's where your retainer goes. Then just dig in cause you will have to pay more for nothing. This office needs to be brought up on charges for fraud billing!

ms. McGuire provided excellent service and obtained custody for me and a lucrative financial settlement. It was obvious she garners great respect among peers and judges and I would recommend her to anyone who needs her services

Hired her and 110,000 dollars and two years later, it still wasnt done. Run! She persued me like a used car salesman and jacked up the bill when ever she could. Very unprofessional....Dont know how she sleeps at night. BEWARE....

Hired this lawyer based on high recommendation...over over 1 year, failed to gather all discovery, would not put in for interim counsel fees when husband made 4xs more...found out through other lawyers and law clerk something definitely wrong, misbilled, all she wants is the money and judge would have awarded interim...staff bullied me to pay on using credit cards as no other funds.

Anyone who has something negative to say about Karen is just a fool. She is hands down the best at what she does. MAde my ex wife change lawyers 3 times. If your a great dad like myself and want to fight to be with your children. Karen is the right person. Every lawyer is $$$. But not every lawyer is Karen McGuire.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. After being taken to the cleaners by my wife, I was financially raped by my attorney. Her excessive billing and nasty demands to pay up or take a hike left me broke and disillusioned. Differently didn't get what I paid for.

All these reviews are completely false. This attorney was the best decision I have ever made. Karen was on time for every court appearance, fought for and got everything I wanted, was mature and never lost her cool and never overcharged me. Our contract was never broken and as a person she was always on my side during one of the hardest times in my life. Divorce is nasty but Karen handles it very professional. Her office is very helpful and each one is available at anytime to help. With Karen McGuire you get your monies worth. She is top of the line and VERY respected in her field. She kept me strong during a very dark period and I have only nice things to say about her. I have recommended many of my friends and family to her and know she has done her very best to give them everything they deserve. Oh, and her eyelashes are her trademark and if people don't know her by her beauty, intelligence and prestige, they will definitely recognize her eyelashes!

I am in total disagreement with the preceding reviews I have nothing but glowing praise for the efforts this lawyer made on my behalf. Her passion is only matched by her knowledge. She lessened the pain of my situation by mapping out for me in great detail exactly how the procedure would go. I felt confidence in her handing of my some times very trying case. Karen seems to have a knack for presenting the reality of the situation and negotiating through, at times, deep anger. The staff in this office is caring and approachable. They make every effort to answer effectively and professionally each concern. I hope never to have to go through such an ordeal again...but if I do I want Karen and this law firm at my side!! I can’t thank them enough.

This attorney is one you MUST avoid. After I contracted her to execute my divorce all appontments for me to meet with her were cancelled. The only way to disseminate information was by letter or a phone call to one of her staff members . Her bills for services consisted at fees more then 3X the customary cost and frequently billed for redundant services. One one occassion I was billed $1,500.00 for a telephone contact not lasting more then 30 minutes. When questioned at the outrageous expenses she threatened to discontinue her representation within days of a court appearance. Her tone was rude and her words abusive. After paying her an obscene amount of money for contrived services she actually put a lien on my divorce judgement and refused to file it with the county clerk. At this time 5 months have passed since the stipulation was signed and the paper work finalizing my divorce remains in limbo!

I most definately concur with the other ratings. Without a doubt the WORST law office. Phone calls were not returned. I was REPEATEDLY hung up on (this was blamed on a phone network problem, a problem that persisted for the ENTIRE duration of my case which lasted 9 months). Papers promised were MONTHS late and left to the very last minute. I was overbilled based on the rate agreed on at my initial consultation. After I settled my case and supposedly paid up (according to them) they had the gaul to send me one more bill for $100 for MAILING MY PAPERS TO MY EX-WIFE'S ATTORNEY! Do yourself a Biiiiig favor, stay FAR away from this firm.

Office is extremely unprofessional. The staff constantly hangs up on you! They are rude and uncompacionate. Many people who have used this law firm have delt with these same issues and were unhappy with their results. The lawyer has a tendency not to be on your side. Lost money nothing was ever filed in the courts.
