I considered reporting this lawyer to the Law Society. When I first connected with Ms. Vahedi, I was incredibly happy. She was smart, appeared very motivated and was wise about how my ex's lawyer behaved in an incredibly unprofessional manner. For the first number of months, I believe her work was very good. However, her rates doubled in the time I used her. In the last six months of her engagement, however, she was almost completely missing in action, despite billing me thousands of dollars each month. She would say one thing, telling me I had a strong case, and then completely contradict herself, later saying I should just take a bad offer. She was also incredibly non-responsive at times and often late. My largest concern, however, was rampant overbilling, despite not showing any work - letters not sent, emails not answered, and she only seemed to respond when things were at a crisis point. Do not recommend - find someone who is in your corner, not just with empty words/promises.
