My right to access to justice has been violated by this lawyer. He refuses to listen to my problem. He says that he "feels" that this is something he can't do; yet he has "felt" that without even being aware of that I am bringing to him.
Since I have the right to justice, and the right to access to justice, which are both guaranteed by the charter of human rights as outlined in the constitution of Canada (1982), I "feel" that his refusal to hear me out before refusing to help me, is a violation of that right.
The law society allows half an hour of free consultation in order to discuss your problem with the lawyer, and my half hour was used up entirely by arguing with him about whether he will even listen to my problem or not. Yet since the constitution guarantees access to justice, and equal access to justice, it rather suggests that when necessary any lawyer is obligated to go beyond that half hour when necessary in order to fulfill that right to access to justice.
