In mid-2021 up to November 2022, Yoshio (Joe) Sumiya represented me in my Divorce Defendant proceedings. Looking back on the quality for services rendered, I mistakenly was led to believe he was a top notch Family Law Lawyer in his field, who would be the best representation that I had fully expected and anticipated. I am deeply disappointed in the quality of legal representation where: (a) I did not feel respected in the process and I felt I was not listened to. (b) I did not feel that my best interests were a priority. (c) His communications and actions lacked clarity which left me confused and misguided. It was to my detriment where I spent too much...approximately $68,382. The whole experience with him has left me feeling in the end of it all, I would have stood a better chance to have represented myself in court. I feel taken financially advantage of, which seemed to be his precedent, as opposed to what I expected to be in my best interest. ‘Caveat-Emptor...let the buyer beware'.
