Mr. Evans, after ghosting me for over a month, failed to respond to my opposing party's motion, completely ruined my family court case. After he was fired, my new lawyer found out Mr. Evans never even uploaded my form 10 or financial statement which was due 6 months ago. Therefore, my case wasn't even on file, multiple documents (approx 14 documents) were never uploaded. No wonder I was issued fines by court, it was all due to Mr. Evan's absent mindedness and incompetency. In my opinion, Mr. Evans seems to be experiencing memory loss, or he could be an alcoholic. He disappeared, then came back all confused and clueless.

For three years, Mr. Evans has displayed blatant neglect and incompetence. He ignores communications for months, refuses to answer critical questions, and withholds our rights. His initial rejection of a settlement offer cost us a substantial sum. Despite knowing that the client I speak for is an elderly, abused, foreign woman, he shows zero sensitivity or advocacy.
Settlement options are now less than half, yet he refuses to finalize paperwork. We've been forced to manage the case ourselves due to his ineptitude. He now yells and refuses communication after we voiced concerns. He claims only he can assist, while admitting his inability and requesting help.
We've missed deadlines, resubmitted information, and faced his continued refusal to assist. We're about to miss another critical deadline. I've requested a new lawyer.

Hugh Evans did not upload my form 10, financial forms and multiple other forms. Therefore, after I fired Mr. Evans, my new lawyer found out that my case wasn't even on file in family court. It took my new lawyer over 15 hours to file a motion to court to ask for permission to refile those missing forms, to resign them and to revise them since Mr. Evans did such a poor job. Not only that, my new lawyer had to spend over 20-30 hours to correct the major screwup Mr. Evans has caused to my case. At the same time, my child got very sick multiple times due to Mr. Evan's neglect. I never received any apology from Mr. Evans, when I question his work ethics and morals, he sent me fake bills asking me for payments I've already made in the past, just to stop me from complaining. Run, Mr. Evans will ruin your case, ruin your life without any remorse.

Mr Evans completely neglected me, forgot everything regarding my case in the middle of a family court lawsuit. He caused irrecoverable damage to my case according to a few lawyers I talked to during the consultation. Very unprofessional. Please choose somebody else to represent you, Mr Evans might ruin your case just like he ruined mine.

I retained Mr. Evans on legal aid for a family matter. I had de-facto 50% custody of all 3 of my children. My ex wife alienated the oldest and withheld the youngest. Mr Evans needed only file, and argue, an emergency motion for my youngest to be returned immediately, and for access to be granted to the oldest. He politely refused convincing me it wasn’t good strategy. He instead waited for my ex to file an Application and subsequent motion with the court alleging every type of abuse under the sun.
Mr. Evans appeared to fear opposing counsel and pressured me into signing a consent for a mere 16 hours per week with my youngest. It took me 1year, 4 months to return to 50% custody with a better lawyer.
I fired him within 3 months. He didn’t: complete my form 10 (Answer), file any motions in court, only 1 counter motion, or even have me sign a retainer agreement.
I believe Mr. Evans to be very lazy, and uniformed on legal matters. Mr Evans doesn’t even have an assistant. Walk on
