I made it very clear I had a difficult case. Ms. Lawrence seemed very excited for the challenge. She gave me examples of cases she had "won big" and gave me the rundown of what to expect in the following weeks. Once receiving my check there was no indication she did any of the steps we discussed. At one point she did tell me the admin was working on some financial discovery, but when asked for specifics I was given a background check I had supplied to them. I felt they were covering their tracks. On the day of the trial all she wanted to do was settle. There were very key details that she overlooked that had a significant impact on the outcome. The things she didn't want to discuss with me, she waited until we were in front of the judge and whispered in my ear. At that point there was nothing I could do. This cost me 4 years of back child support among other things. I have the impression Ms. Lawrence's objective is to settle and move on, regardless of the needs of her client.
