Tall glass of water, refreshing, cool, confident. Lashings of compliments, sweet tongued, gifted man solved my life problems in a goooo then another and another and another till there was nothing left to solve. We achieved freedom, emancipation from the brutality of billable hours and truth seeking was the actual function of the courts again. The end.

Mediation with Justin Murphy is preferable. If you can avoid the adversarial design of the courts (which escalates conflict!) you are better off. Justin knows how to manage conflict, talk calmly, and help find a better trajectories for folks, depending on your unique situation. Personally, mediation didn’t end the conflict for myself, but if you can find some civility maybe you can!

You may hear fancy words and receive occasional flashes of presence, but don’t be fooled—follow-through is sporadic, and professional reliability is a gamble.

I was previously represented by Justin Murphy. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I did not feel adequately supported or communicated with during a very difficult time in my life. I had hoped for clarity, integrity, and a sense of advocacy, but what I encountered instead left me feeling dismissed and retraumatized. I believe clients deserve transparency and compassion, especially in matters as sensitive as family law. While every lawyer may approach things differently, my personal experience with Justin did not meet those expectations. I hope others have better experiences, and that all legal professionals reflect deeply on the human impact of their work.

I hired Justin to help with my custody case. My expectations were low. My ex had a lawyer who wore heels like they were weapons and used words like “strategic parental marginalization.” I just wanted someone to keep me from losing my weekends with my kid.
What I got was a man who looked like he wandered out of an indie film about grief and now moonlights as a lawyer to pay for vinyl records and unsent text messages.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s brilliant. The guy knew my rights better than I did. He walked into mediation calm, cold, and prepared to gently destroy every one of my ex’s legal arguments with all the warmth of a softly humming refrigerator.
I watched him dismantle her lawyer like he was deconstructing a breakup in his mind while sipping herbal tea. At one point, he said, “Let’s focus on what’s in the child’s best interest, not what’s most performative.” I blacked out from secondhand intellectual violence.

Justin Murphy is an incredible lawyer. He is extremely hard working and literally always does his best. The court system is overwhelming to navigate and I had your definition of a high conflict separation/custody battle. Justin is very real and straight up with you and will tell you how it is within the context of family law. However he also takes in absolutely everything your telling him and he try's to get you the best deal possible. Justin is also extremely knowledgeable and knows family law well. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Justin Murphy as my lawyer.
