This lawyer had an immigrant client in a civil domestic violence case testify, under penalty of perjury, to all the elements of welfare fraud. These harmful facts were not even necessary to prove the issue before the Court, yet they were placed on the record by this attorney who had a duty to protect her client, yet placed her client in peril. Now the client is under investigation for welfare fraud, subject to criminal charges and likely deportable. The investigative body need only go to the court record to prove its case.
