We retained William Cord for a complex real estate case that occurred with a death in the family. There was a notice and litigation over an inheritance property. The house required renovations in preparation for sale and was an unfavourable situation. Bill went above and beyond to resolve this case. From recommendation of actions and overall positive outcome of the case Bill guided us and took appropriate actions throughout the process. We can’t thank Bill enough for helping us in a dire situation. Thank you Bill for your support and help to get us a favourable resolution. We were happy with the services of William Cord in both the selling of our old home and also in the purchase of our new home. in both cases he and his staff ensured that everything went smoothly. In one case when it appeared that there was the possibility of complications from the other party, Bill Cord took the time to thoroughly explain to us all our options while doing his best to prevent those complications from actually arising. In the end he was successful in managing to keep things simple and uncomplicated. Everything turned out well. I retained the services of William Cord pertaining to my employment layoff, which subsequently led to a final settlement of an equitable severance package. This occurred during the beginning stages of Covid and the laws were changing at that time. He thoroughly explained the legal process, including the estimated timeline of the process and as to what were his responsibilities and what my responsibilities were to mitigate any losses. During each step, Mr. Cord clearly communicated the current status and the next steps required and estimated timeline, based on the reply from the company I was previously employed with. He responded very quickly and in a detailed manner, after passing it by me, pertaining to any reply he received from my previous employer's lawyers, so I would say his communication and tenacity ranked very high. His communications with the legal firm representing my ex employer showed he had both the knowledge and high work quality. Value excellent as we succeeded.
