Probably the worst lawyer in Winnipeg. She absolutely doesn't know her job. I hired her as a Real Estate Lawyer which was perhaps the biggest mistake of my life. She is not aware of rules and regulations applicable for real estate deals. When we hired her, she told us to inform us within 24 hours of taking possession if there any issues in the house. Upon taking possession, I did inform her the issue we found in appliances. When we phoned her after one week she told us that the money was released to the seller on the date of possession. My question is that if that was the case why she told us to respond her within 24 hours. We had an issue with the Aircon which was out of order. Sadly we had to incur $ 2,500 from our own pocket. There was host of other issues in the house but we didn't receive any support from her. PLEASE AVOID HER AT ALL COST. She is a shame to the legal profession

She charged me $4500.00 for my uncontested divorce and couldn't get it done. In 2020 she didn't respond to me for about half a year. All she can do is to submit the forms I filled out to the judge. Without getting any response from her, I hired another lawyer and the other lawyer solved my case with only one affidavit. Sima Roy doesn't have the knowledge to solve very simple cases and she charges very high with very little work. I wanted to report to the law society but I think I will just rate her here. She doesn't worth more time for me to deal with. I encourage her to retire from her job or just do some paperwork such as notarization. If you think she is cheap you are wrong. She will think about how much she can charge you based on your look. Go find a professional!
