At first, I had a good impression of Amanda Cohen. She helped draft an agreement that followed the law carefully, and she appeared thoughtful and responsive in the beginning. Unfortunately, the experience became disappointing over time.
I initially retained her not for financial reasons, but because I was being subjected to ongoing harassment by my ex-husband and needed legal protection and advocacy. However, despite the opposing counsel being openly combative and making false claims to avoid financial obligations (such as daycare contributions), little progress was made in addressing those tactics. Amanda eventually told me that “all I care about is the money,” which I found deeply unfair and inaccurate, especially considering the original reason I sought her help was to shield myself and my child from coercive conduct.
