I had an amazing experience working with James. The process was seamless from start to finish. All I had to do was provide my case information, and they handled everything from there. They did excellent work and won my case! Best of all, I didn’t even have to show up in court. The entire process was easy, efficient, and incredibly effective. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a traffic court lawyer.

Thank you Mr. Gaines for resolving my son's ticket with a dismissal. You and your staff were very kind and courteous throughout the whole process.
I highly recommend his services. Mr. Gaines was always knowledgeable of the New Braunfels court. I hope we never have to use him again :) but I would highly recommend his services in a heartbeat. Call Mr. Gaines just to see.

I received a speeding ticket and thought I'd give Mr. Gaines a try to see if they can get it dismissed. They handled everything from scheduling a court date to actually attending the hearing. James stayed in contact with me throughout the process and she ultimately got my ticket DISMISSED!! I was so happy to hear, her and the team saved me from a point on my record and a fine. I will be using them in the future.

I called this office once to ask about my options for my ticket. I realized that with traffic school available to me I did not need to hire a lawyer. A week later I get a follow up call from James himself, he was very kind and attentive. He gave me advice on how to reduce the price of the ticket given his experience with the court system I had to go through. I was really appreciative that I got a follow up call and the extra help. This is the kind of service that stands out enough to make someone want to write a review. While I do not need to work with a lawyer this time, if I ever had to I would definitely call James!

Working with Gaines Law was a quick and easy process. The cost was more than reasonable. I was informed throughout the process. At the beginning when I had questions, all of them were answered and I highly recommend them when dealing with traffic cases and I'm sure the I could say the same for them being able to handle other types of cases as well.

James assisted me in fighting a Wichita Falls traffic ticket that had the possibility of a very large fine and also points and insurance surcharges.
The final resolution was a win in court and I was elated and relieved that my case ended with success. They are career savers and got for me the best desirable outcome of case dismissed.

They’re honest and up front about the odds of you winning BEFORE they accept payment. Be ready to accept those odds and most importantly don’t be upset with them if they were right about those odds. They’re doing their best despite the odds of winning. Unfortunately in Texas, it’s the judge you’re talking about and they either find you guilty or innocent with no in between. On top of their honesty, I can’t thank Mr. Gaines enough for the prompt email replies and constant communication.
fight it for the chance that you might walk out of this ‘not guilty’ or in my case, dismissed. Like I said previously, you’re screwed with the ticket anyway so what have you got to lose in fighting it? Will it cost you more money if you lose? Yes. But imagine winning and dodging points on your license and a hefty insurance rate increase? Take the chance and fight it.

I came across Mr. Gaines through a Google search. I wasn't sure what to expect, but he delivered exactly what we discussed. He was extremely responsive (whether through email and especially via text message), and was clear from the start as to the possible outcomes. AMAZING!!! Got my 2nd charge!!!! (small collision involved, no one hurt so I cannot believe it). James communicated great, their office was easy to contact and courteous, detailed, and quick replies. When I first hired Mr. Gaines, he told me that he would get my son’s ticket reduced. We had a court date prior to me hiring him, he emailed me and said that we were granted a reset for the 26th (this was in October, so I’m assuming the 26th of November). A few weeks later the court contacted me to remind me of an upcoming court hearing for November 16th. I then tried to call Mr. Gaines to inform him of this court date but no answer (then I realized that the date he gave me was on a Sunday) Multiple phone calls, voicemails and emails were sent to this attorney with no response. We ended up going to court on November 16, but the attorney never showed up. The clerks tried calling multiple times and so did I. So the judge granted us a reset in hopes that the attorney would show up. This is extremely bad business and I will most definitely be turning him in to the Texas state bar.

So I hired James Gaines for my traffic ticket case and all seemed well until months down the line the case doesn't go in my favor no plea deal etc. I had an agreement with James through email of a refund of my money if the case didn't get removed from my record. At this point in the case I was forced to either go to trial or plead not guilty. The more affordable option was to pay the ticket. So with that being said I indeed paid the ticket and when I tried to further contact James through phone call and email regarding my refund he refused to answer me back.

Wish I had read reviews as all the good ones were in a short period of time when he was either fabricating the site, or actually did work. For me a couple of months of saying he's taking care of it, then 5 emails not responded to. NO communication. I will contact the state Bar on him and my lawyer is looking at it for action (something I can well afford). Really seems like a scam.

Great job, very professional and to the point. The case was over quickly and I was left up to date. I had a problem with a suspended license and he did alot for me and my family by getting the Occupaitional while he worked on my tickets. Big fan of Mr. Gaines and his staff.

I do NOT recommend this lawyer. It is a scam. Call the courthouse yourself and you can get the same deal he offers without having to pay his fee. I hired him and after receiving the reply, I called the courthouse and they offered the same deal and it would have saved me $110 if I didnt use him.

Save your money!-???? Worst lawyer ever. This man blatantly ignored my ?s and sent various fake "plea" documents that admittedly the court did not send out and had 2 months yet to even go to court. He threatened me with legal action of I did not pay the ticket in 7 days, have my drivers license (cannot drive for medical reasons) and proof of insurance (I don't have a car) He pushed out all my hearings for 6 months which made this even harder to deal with.Do not hire this very shady person. He has no day time phone number and only communicates via email at night. Do not trust them. They charge double a normal Texas traffic lawyer plus he will extort & lie- you would get better results going alone & using google. I've spent more time and double the amount of money because of him.

Paid lawyer 350 to get speeding ticket dismissed or at the very least price lowered , any kind of plea. Next thing I hear from lawyer is he was unable to get it dismissed ( in his defense he did say he wasn’t as confident being able to get dismissed) . He was unable to even get it lowered ... no plea offer .His response to my queries, just pay the ticket there are no points. Ticket cost was less than his cost. He did nothing whatsoever to help me.
