I highly recommend Rosanna Breitman as a divorce mediator. Going through the process of a divorce was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, as well as for my children. Finding Rosanna was the silver lining in my storm cloud. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about both financial and legal matters but more importantly about family functioning. She treated me with respect and kindness while being very fair to both me and my ex-husband. She clearly prioritized the well being of my children in all decisions. At the same time, Rosanna aptly managed complex financial negotiations while ensuring that both I and my ex husband understood the nature of the negotiations. She is patient and caring but also smart and decisive. I certainly never want to go through another divorce, but have highly recommended Rosanna to all of my friends who find themselves in this position.

I highly recommend Rosanna Breitman! She is very professional, supportive, and listens to what your concerns are so she can support you in the best way possible. You will feel very comfortable that she is helping you resolve whatever difficult situations you are in with kindness, very deep knowledge, and making you feel like you a priority for her.

Rosanna allowed our mediation to continue for 6 months with no result because the other side was adversarial. She acknowledged that the other side was being difficult but to trust the process. $60K later, I dropped Rosanna and went to court and won. What a waste of time. She ethically should have told me to go to court from the beginning when the other side showed abnormal hostility. Don't hire.

I engaged Rosanna in what I thought would be a quick, smooth settlement of my 25-year common-law partnership. While my decision to hire Rosanna was one of the best I've made, my assumption that the settlement would be simple was grossly misguided. Unfortunately, the legal team on the other side attempted to play out a drawn-out, costly and bitter battle. However, Rosanna persisted with unparalleled tenacity, skill, grace, and compassion to bring the negotiation to a timely resolution, leaning on her vast experience in family law and conflict resolution (and difficult personalities!). She has a unique knack for working efficiently and cleverly with a close eye on complex legal and financial details; while maintaining a view of the bigger picture - a clear and inspiring vision of the future with hope, equity and resolution. Frankly, she blew my mind. To this day, I count my blessings to have worked with her and trusted her with the outcome of a relationship that spanned half my life.

Rosanna is truly one of a kind. She was so supportive during this difficult legal process. Her kindness , warmth and wisdom really stand out. In this world , especially in the legal arena, these are rare qualities that Rosanna embodied and it reflects in her work . People like Rosanna are truly a blessing in this world! I worked with Keith Davis, her associate, to draw up an offer to settle and he was very supportive and encouraging as well. I would highly recommend Rosanna and her firm for the wonderful work they do and more importantly , for actually caring about people and understanding the struggles involved during the tough battle that a divorce can turn into.

Rosanna is exceptional as a lawyer, mediator but most importantly as a human. She genuinely cares about the people she works for, and is able to weave her emotional intelligence with her skilled, thorough knowledge of the law and her effective communication skills. She has a unique ability to take her understanding of each person and unfold it in a way that is able to shift what is necessary to move things in a positive direction, keeping the health of the family unit as her central focus. Truly, I was amazed at how she was able to understand each unique human condition and knew what and how to unfold things to resolve very difficult issues, during a complicated separation process. She was a light during a very dark time, and was able to find ways to resolve matters. Rosanna understands the importance of the fine details, is thorough and very creative in finding ways to tie loose ends. To say that someone is in good hands, is an understatement. She will go above and beyond.

Rosanna is extremely skilled as a family mediator including the subject matter expertise of how to impartially divide assets, income, and child support. But what truly sets her part is that she is uniquely gifted with compassion, kindness and wisdom on how to gently deal with the non financial impacts of a family breakdown. Rosanna truly cares about her Clients (she listens carefully) and goes to great lengths to ensure each party is treated respectfully and holistically, not just financially. I highly recommend her without reservation.

Rosanna was careful, caring, meticulous, and utilized a graceful and purposeful approach to working with both sides in our separation. Believing separate lawyers from the outset would prove best, my spouse was willing to try mediation & hired Rosanna. I am now assured that going through lawyers from outset would have been costly by a multiple factor and serve to only introduce more hurt and pain, of which much would be irreparable for months or years. If you have a semi-amicable spouse, Rosanna’s process helps to serve both parties “together” while in each’s best interest. She helped us navigate through an abhorrent traumatic & process, where financial considerations need to be determined wearing kid gloves. Most impressive was how Rosanna treated our mediation as one-of-a-kind, although I suspect we fit into the usual bucket of separation mediation. She very quickly earned the respect of all parties, and that’s why she successfully guided us towards a mutual agreement.

Rosanna is a rare gem with impeccable legal expertise and a pureness of heart that keeps the well-being of the children at the forefront of discussion. She masterfully can keep polarized personalities at the table to come to an agreement. There really is no better mediator in the city (if not the world), and I am very grateful to have employed her services in mediation and would highly recommend Rosanna for her professionalism, masterful negotiation skills, and compassion. I would give Rosanna the highest rating, not just for her legal skills but her thoughtful, measured, caring and empathetic approach to working with both sides. The divorce that I recently went through was not of my choice and neither was Rosanna. At the end of it all, while the process was very complicated and quite bitter, Rosanna rose to the occasion and earned the respect of all parties toward getting to a solution. Her recommendation of lawyers and divorce accountants were very helpful in building the right approach and team to a get to a mediated solution. In an arena that is quite difficult to work with all parties, Rosanna has a skill set that allows for parties to get to a solution and move on with their respective lives.

When I engaged Rosanna, my partner was adamant on not paying me any spousal, although she made more than double than I did, and she was looking to write our separation agreement, and wanted to cap the childcare payments on her current salary amount. I knew this was unfair and was preparing for an expensive legal battle. Not only did Rosanna negotiate what I thought was a reasonable spousal agreement and, educate my ex-partner on the merits of child support, she also allowed me to stay in the house with the kids which was very important to me. More importantly, Rosanna strategic mixture of ‘soft touch’ and ‘firmness’ allow for me to maintain a reasonable relationship with my ex, which I greatly desired for the sake my 3 young kids (who are doing well) and she gave me a sense of financial security. What more can you ask for?

Rosanna is a kind, caring person, who does not take sides, in fact during the first call she told me that if one party comes away too happy and the other too unhappy then she did not do her job properly. She explained that mediation is all about fairness. Rosanna literally made the 'impossible'- 'possible'. I truly am talking about a very uncompromising, difficult man, who has very set ideas, and he is always right in his mind . He is very stubborn, and I had visions of Mediation not working, although I am a very positive person. During the session Rosanna, keeps on reassuring you that you keep getting closer to the point of settling, so she totally puts your mind at ease and makes you feel very comfortable. She came to the meeting fully prepared and made the process as comfortable as possible.
I recommend Rosanna with no hesitation or reservations at all. If you require a Mediator look no further, you have found the right lady!!!

Literally there is no other lawyer who could have handled this case between my ex and I. He is stuck in narcissism mode and I am stuck in victim mode. She handled us BOTH beautifully, and got us to agree on a document that is truly in the best interest of our children. I am deeply grateful for her guidance, her ability to handle any given situation with such conviction and grace. If you think you are dealing with the most "impossible" spouse, it would seem she has seen and dealt with it all and will keep everyone feeling validated. Thank you Rosanna. Truly.

I highly recommend Rosanna as a mediator for legal separation. She has exceptional skills on the emotional side-she understands the “human aspect” of separation. Rosanna is fair and very diligent on both client needs. We had a very complex situation with a high level of mistrust and legal/financial issues and she was able to navigate it all. As a divorced father I would highly recommend the mediation services of Rosanna. She helped me navigate the complex world of family law and most importantly help with emotional process of separation. She is compassionate, caring and highly professional. With her help we were able to come up with a separation agreement quickly and what we saw as fair and in each of our best interests. I am a lawyer who practices matrimonial law. Rosanna has successfully mediated several cases in which I have been involved. She is a highly skilled professional who has a knack for resolving intractable disputes. She knows the law, but, perhaps more importantly, she understands people. I have just now read Rosanna's draft of the final agreement in our current case; it is perfect. Rosanna was outstanding. When we began this process, my ex was vehemently against hiring a mediator, but by the end, he swore by her. Rosanna’s intelligence and legal expertise was evident in all of our dealings. She offered sound advice and guidance, always bringing us back on track if we swayed in a negative direction. Her calming nature and professionalism was greatly appreciated. Rosanna was readily accessible and eager to accommodate. She met us on our own and joined us at meetings with our lawyers. Thorough and concise summarizing reports were prepared and delivered in a timely fashion. Although separation and divorce are never pleasant, I am so grateful to have found Rosanna Breitman to make the process as fair as possible for both of us. She was able to combine her education in mediation, her experience as a great lawyer and her compassion as a caring and clever professional to come up with an agreement we both felt was fair. Rosanna was our mediator 4 years ago when my ex and I separated. Although I remember that time as one of the lowest points in my life, Rosanna made it tolerable. She held our hands when we needed it and gave us the family law knowledge that we both lacked in a balanced and meaningful way.
