I first met Jalal when I fled a DV situation when I was pregnant. Jalal not only worked his butt off to make sure that my child and I were both safe. He helped me with a very complex custody matter as well as securing an EPO. He was so empathetic and kind throughout and I can promise I was not an easy client. I see the negative reviews on here and well… they are laughable at best. Never once did I feel I was over charged, or not heard. I would and have recommended him to friends and other family members.

If you can't trust your own lawyer who can you trust? This lawyer did not even follow the rules of the company he worked for. He over charged me and even though he led me to believe he would be representing me in court he stop taking my calls and just left me stranded with no lawyer and not knowing what to do towards the end of an Appeal. Needless to say he has left Calgary and is now working in Edmonton. After speaking to the principle Lawyer of the company he worked for was when I became aware of all the lies he had told me and how much money he was trying to get out of me.

Mr. Alawes was reasonably priced, took his time in explaining things and also made a point of explaining terminology. I found the advice given to my family member was very well thought out and very reasonable which helped expedite the finalization of the divorce. He is a very kind, pleasant and knowledgeable person who goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He is also very prompt at keeping you informed o what is going on and returning calls. I would highly recommend him if you need a Famy Law /Divorce lawyer.

Jalal is very knowledgeable! He got what seemed to be a never ending divorce finalized in under 2 month. With his empathy, skills, kindness he takes the time to relate to his client(s). Jalal was not only extremely knowledgeable about family law issues, but was also empathetic towards the emotions I was experiencing while going through my divorce.
