Two years into a "simple" property settlement case Mr. Morningstar had not even managed to acquire the applicants/her initial financial statement even though we submitted multiple offers to settle, prepared multiple court conference briefs and attended multiple court hearings.
Clients main complaints with their lawyer relate to lack of communication; long length of time between emails/calls and responses. Mr. Morningstar exceeded the norm. He was MIA. One example, he even missed a submission date therefore my only remaining option was a verbal and email response for the applicant to consider.
Mr. Morningstar's final act was leaving Devry Frank Smith with my court case scheduled a week and a half later. I was given no prior notice.
At each stage his professional advice was always the same, whatever she was requesting seemed reasonable; without her financial statements, without one receipt, or invoice and her settlement offer continued to increase by 10's of thousands.
