Best choice I could have made for a lawyer! Emerald’s calm and competent legal approach to the chaos that enveloped me during my divorce was just the beginning of my journey with her.
Her communication skills are excellent: she has the ability to summarize a conversation and propose a workable plan; further, she does immediate written follow-up which is clear and concise–but always with an opportunity for client input.
Emerald ensured that I was amply prepared for each transition in the legal process. No surprises with this lady. She was both firm and patient with me when she felt the need to explain why I might be unrealistic about an issue or misunderstanding of a legality. I give her full credit for not ‘moving on’ until she was certain that I had a full grasp of the situation.

Emerald got me results where other lawyers were not able to. My case was high conflict and her expertise, knowledge of the law, professionalism, clarity and efficiency in what needs to get done helped moved my case along and get me faster results. I appreciated and felt her and her team’s genuine care, attention to detail and I knew that I was not just another client.
The law is complex, nuanced and Emerald ensured that she presented me with all my options and I valued her expertise and advice. She took into consideration me, my son and our future with all the decisions we moved forward with. Her ability to comprehend what is needed whether it be collaboration, mediation or litigation in each piece and moving forward accordingly made a big difference to my case. I cannot recommend Emerald enough. She understands that her clients are going through one of the most challenging times in their lives, was compassionate and caring with me and fierce with opposition to get the best results

Emerald was awful as my family law lawyer. She was overpriced and basic in her knowledge. She was not well prepared and my spouse's lawyer seemed to have way more knowledge of the case than she did, but you wouldn't know that from her bills. If you based it on her bills, she should have known my file like it was her life. To say I was disappointed with her services is an understatement at best. Save your time and money and STAY AWAY from this lawyer.
