I cannot say enough about Mr. Duncan and my experience in how he handled my case. He was very knowledgeable, reliable, patient and was able to guide me through a difficult situation. What stood out was his compassion, understanding and tenacity. It seemed he really cared to get the best possible outcome. He is very detailed oriented, analytical and communicates well all aspects of the case. As many lawyers quite wordy sometimes but mostly to the point. He did fight hard for many of the smaller details that were important to me. He charged a very reasonable total cost for the case rather than an hourly rate and worked hard until it was concluded. I would highly recommend Mr. Duncan without any reservations.

I could not have been in worse hands. Emmet Duncan is a former prosecutor and a member of the club that protects their own from public scrutiny. He lost my case though his negligence, indifference and underhanded loyalty to Crown, and he breached a legal contract. He abandoned my case prior to sentencing and took the $20,000 I paid him in trust refusing to give me any refund saying, “I earned it.” I was in distresss and facing immense financial hardship and he exploited me without a second thought. I was effectively unrepresented at sentencing and subjected to the whims of a biased judge and unethical prosecutor who made up their own rules as they went along as a means of entertainment. The prosecution was malicious and the complacent Mr. Duncan stood by and watched as my legal and civil rights were trampled. I caution against trusting former prosecutors or lawyers who do ad-hoc work for Crown. In my experience, these bad actors are accessories to corruption and systemic legal abuse.
