In November 2018 I hired Mr. Winston to file an emergency order, but he overstepped and began calling opposing counsel and blew a small emergency order into a full blown case that I knew he didn't have the experience for without waiting for the emergency case to be heard. I fired him and asked him to withdraw. Except he didn't withdraw. In January 2019, my legal adversary filed a motion against me, but I didn't know about it until a few days before the hearing when Mr. Winston called to inform me. I was angry that he hadn't withdrawn, but he offered to represent me at no cost. He had received the notice a week or two earlier but waited until the last minute to inform me so that I would have no choice but to accept his offer. Mr. Winston wrote wonderful motions, but he was ineffective in the courtroom. As the case became more difficult, he turned on me and began to undermine me to other attorneys. I'm sad about all of this because I still have to find a way out of this mess.
