I cant beleive the reviews I see here because I also had a terrible experience with Mia Poppe, Esq. SHe did not know the law or terms of the civil practice law. It was embarassing and I had to switch attorneys. Using her was a waste of money and I got nothing out of her representation.

I used Mia for a simple divorce but her papers were a mess, she was rude to the judge and she was not organized. She arrives late to court all the time and puts her children before her professional commitments. I was very disappointed in the work she did. Her secretary who is not a lawyer drafted papers and letters and did not know the rules or law. I hired Mia because she was black but I think in these New York courts that is a negative.

Mia knew very very little about the Domestic Relations Law and civil practice. My judge hated her. Mia is rude, money hungry and nasty.

I am had a terrible experience with Mia as my lawyer. Her papers were poorly written and not by her, She accidentally sent me papers from another client's file and she just did not know the law involved in my case. I had a divorce case and she just was unaware of the applicable law or the facts in my case. She was rude to the judge and opposing counsel.

I was very unhappy with the quality of Mia Poppe's work and representation. She charged a fortune and knew very little about law, procedure and even the forms I had to submit. Run fast away from her!!!
