Amber will scam you she scammed us of 2200 and only went to court once and never filed papers for us worse experience I've ever had with a lawyer.I wouldn't recommend her to anyone

hired her apr 2021 to help with a small estate everything was going well in the beginning sent over $2k for a retainer since then she basically has been ignoring us, ive been asking over and over for updates ,every few months she will reply with "how about we have a meeting /call you on a certain date" so i would wait for her call and nothing ,,wouldnt answer my calls when i call her with a different # she would answer and give an excuse why she hasnt called back and set up another meeting and again nothing its now oct 30 2022 and i still have no clue of anything she has done!! i dont even know if she has done anything, at beginning of oct i asked for my $ and files and death certs back ,still nothing i gave her another chance that i would leave this review and contact law society if i didnt hear from her ,its now been 3 weeks since, please send my stuff back to me so i can move on..worst experience ever ,,sad part was she was referred by another lawyer

Worst lawyer in the GTA. She will scam you, lie, and then try to manipulate the legal system to save her name. Do not hire her, do not trust anything she says. Very unprofessional, and she not have a license to practice law. This women will ruin you !!

She is honest and to the point. Money is not her first priority, she truly cares about her client and the child. Family court is horrible for anyone that has to go through the process, especially if the other party continues frivolous/malicious matters with 0 cause. Amber is a wonderful human being with your best interests at heart. Which is more then I can say for most people in this cruel world. The system is broken and Amber will do the best she can to help guide you through a difficult time.

Terrible experience. Would not return calls, messages, emails. Lacks communication, no billing breakdown. Does not stand by her word. Took 38 days to return a call after saying she would call next day, even after repeated messages. Did not resolve my case, drew it out longer, created more stress and animosity between parties with zero results. I retained her for a separation agreement and divorce and she failed to complete both. She never communicated anything which was to my detriment. Lots of excuses why I never heard from her, gave her lots of chances, never changed her behaviour. I fired several warning shots to her and was left with no choice but to report her to the law society. In my opinion, she used prejudice toward me because a friend of mine who recommended her owed her money. In my opinion, if she represented that individual like she did me, I wouldn’t pay her for her waste of services. Go elsewhere

Amber is an amazing lawyer! She is very sensitive and compassionate during very difficult times for a family. She’s smart and knows her stuff so always take her advice!!! She doesn’t make you feel like she’s money driven and in fact, she’s always looking for ways to help keep costs low for her clients. She doesn’t always get back in a timely manor BUT it’s always for a good reason and it’s definitely worth the wait. Hire Amber Herman for all your legal family needs.

Ms Herman is willing to communicate with me over email, or text messages. She just understands todays communications, and advocates for her clients 24/7. She tends to invoice once a month, or accommodates client preferences. Due to her sounds advice and logic, I have significantly more time with my children then I previously had!

Amber helped me with obtaining full custody of my daughter. She had went above and beyond my expectations of the services that she provided. The court system usually favors mothers over fathers by default, but her knowledge and expertise in court got me full custody of my daughter. So that should speak for itself. I've had very bad experiences in the past with lawyers, she is one of the few honest and caring lawyers out there.

Her tenacity is second to none when it comes to aggressively pushing for early resolution dates. The only lawyer whom I have had to work with was interested in solving the claim as fast as possible.
