I chose Kim to represent me after reading through numerous positive reviews, and they weren't wrong. Kim proved to be diligent, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. As emotional as family matters can be, Kim was consistent, calm and focused. She was able to redirect me when my emotions had me fixated on very inconsequential items. Kim's billing was always fair and very transparent. I definitely received value for what she invoiced. Although the other side was antagonistic, slanderous and (at times) downright rude, Kim never played into their game. She was always above reproach, and ensured that I remained that way as well. Great job to Kim, I highly recommend.

I appreciated Kim's calm, consistency, and professionalism throughout the collaborative divorce process, and I especially appreciated her giving me advice that I didn't really want to hear (not necessarily in the moment, obviously). She was consistently diligent, organized, professional with myself, my ex, and her counsel, and was both a strong advocate and facilitator towards a successful resolution that was focused primarily on a division of assets. She brought a realistic understanding of which issues were worth paying her to discuss, and which issues would be best settled by my ex and I outside a legal process and thus without associated legal costs. I felt she endeavoured to produce as much value as possible at a minimal total cost, in what for me was a fairly low conflict process where such an approach was strongly appreciated by all parties. As such, I would strongly recommend her work to anyone in need of her services in a collaborative divorce setting.

This firm was my second legal firm working on my divorce.The first legal firm charged the price of half a Tesla for the 3 years of legal wandering until I'd had enough and went to see Kimberly McBain who completed a very good resolution within 6 months for 12% of what the first lawyer had charged. Ms McBain treated me well. Her billing time was accurate and at a reasonable rate. I was not flooded with dozens of unnecessary emails at $75 each as my previous "uptown" lawyer had done. Kim was so incredibly helpful to me during a very stressful time. She reassured me and was always prompt to get in contact with me. She made what could have been a very costly drawn out process go smoothly and worked to resolve it quickly and cost effectively. I hope I don't need to use a lawyer again but if I do I won't dread it so much with her as a resource.

Kim is great, she explains things well and makes sure that the agreement has no holes.Has a great ability to keep you focused on the end goal and not getting sidetracked by the difficulties of the circumstance in front of you.
