Met with Mr. Tong several times to ensure he understood the key issues, sent him concise emails to ensure he was prepared for court. Prior to court, his legal advice was general in nature and non-committal, other than to assure me that there was no question that our case would be successful. He did not thoroughly study my documents, affidavits and information prior to court. In court, he rambled, he let the opposing lawyer interrupt him constantly and run his show, and he was so overwhelmed. He was unable to think on his feet. When questioned by the Justice, he couldn't answer because he'd forgotten key facts, AND he'd forgotten his copy of my affidavit and Divorce Agreement at his office! Mr. Tong was unable to present the case case in a concise, clear, factual way. He was not prepared for court and was intimidated by the setting. After we lost he didn't tell me could appeal the decision within 30 days.

Horrible Lawyer! Did not thoroughly study our case documents, affidavits and information he was provided. A child's life was on the line. He left questions that should have been asked on the table letting the other side run right over the proceedings. He was unable to think on his feet or redirect questioning when stopped by the Judge, did not object to any irrelevant matters brought up by the Respondent. We lost because of his incompetence and inability to present our case in a clear, factual manner. He had dozens of opportunities to ask pertinent questions that would have negated what the Respondent and her witnesses were saying which would have exposed the truth. He did nothing to properly prepare or present the facts. A child living in a negligent environment where health and well being are in jeopardy where she missed almost 30 days of school in grade 1 & was late 54 days was returned to that environment because of the poor representation we had.

Have hired Vincent Tong on a number of complex matters over the past few years and his dedication to his work is without peer. Highly recommended.
