an absolute buffoon in the court. This lawyer gets frustrated and can't control his emotions. Its downright laughable. Every lawyer in the city refuses to stand in court alongside him. Spend time finding a REALLY good lawyer and leave this imbecile alone. I have had the misfortune of dealing with him and I caution anyone looking at his firm to go elsewhere or it may be a costly experiment.

Despised by members of the law society. His reputation is one of a vengeful and unprofessional lawyer. His reputation proceeds him. No lawyer will work with such an unrefined and simpleminded individual. Tries to go up against the big dogs... but is like a noisy Pomeranian. keep your money and look elsewhere.

John helped me get equal time with my children and was empathetic to how difficult it was for me trying to fight for what I feel was in my children's best interest. He made me feel confident and his actions followed when he represented me both in court and between my ex’s representation. As far as some of the nightmare stories I’ve heard of throughout the years where lawyers are involved, I didn’t experience that. John helped me thru a very tough period. This has been a massive savings in ways I can’t even begin to express here. Especially after the outset of my now nearly concluded marriage. Something John has helped me now from start to finish. What I appreciated the most was when the nightmare began at the outset, I knew I had someone to represent my best interests. Especially in a game I didn’t know the rules to. So thank you Mr. Chandler.

John took my case over from another lawyer and I cannot be happier with that decision. I have read the other reviews in this site, and I must disagree with the negative comments. John was absolutely fantastic and helped me and my family out in a life changing way. I would highly recommend this lawyer.

John starts off as a smooth talker interested in your case making you believe he is s good listener and lawyer. Then shortly after it goes to condescending and aggressive while actually doing nothing for your case or last minute and ignoring your input and requests but charges for wait time ? Wtf The okanogen has very few good family lawyers or is that actually all of Canada? Luckily my senses kicked in and was able to switch lawyers that I originally wanted but not without wasting significant money and previous time. Moody, rude and money orientated. Even though I paid everything still wanted more money and let my case slide while he took other clients money and cases. Gold Standard pffft more like sub standard. Just another disappointing family lawyer out there willing to take your case and screw it up all while being condescending to you as the client. Also clueless support staff.

You get what you pay for. I had the misfortune of hiring this lawyer to save money. Since becoming a lawyer in 2012 he has worked at three firms already (apparently he was fired or left under very negative circumstances), this should have been a red flag. He told me what I wanted to hear to get my business and then strung me along a destructive path that damaged me and my family. We lost badly due to incompetence. Someone this arrogant and inexperienced should not be able to practice family law. To anyone planning on hiring him please do your due diligence first.A lawyer that poses publicly on Facebook drinking shots, posing with whipped cream on his nipples, and shows off his "Johnny Ace" body building photos is hardly indicative of a serious professional.

Dishonest, condescending, and unprofessional to the point of aggression towards their client in court and in their office. When a lawyer can't control their emotions and remain calm, they should not be in practice. Clients pay for professional service, not for abuse and ignoring the specific requests of the client while charging for services that were not requested or rendered.
