I have been working with Gord Sterchi for over a year and a half to try to finalize my divorce. When I hired him he told me he would help me move the process forward, as I have an ex who has no motivation to get a settlement. I have had to poke and prod this lawyer for every action. He forwards me emails from my ex's lawyer with no comments, and I have to ask for advice. Even then, I have to suggest what we might do to respond. I am paying him $400 an hour and getting no advice. I have now been separated for 3 years and I have no parenting agreement and no financial settlement. My ex is still living in our house and I am renting.
