My experience with Bruce Walkinshaw was disappointing. After selling himself as a "no jump" lawyer, Bruce withdrew before our trial he set. And without doing anything: examinations, discovery. Communication is non-existent leading to case-stalling delays; literally 6 months with no communication! Bruce's advice can be dismissive (e.g., telling client not to "exaggerate"), and instructions are ignored while billing continues without transparency. Progress is impossible. Securing trial date stalled due to Bruce's reported unavailability to opposing counsel. This pattern of unresponsiveness and strategic withdrawal severely damaged my case. When I picked up my case file, Bruce was STANDING and YELLING at a client in his office. I experienced the same.

I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. He was a total waste of time and money. A disaster. He doesn’t do his homework. He is an ineffective speaker, rambles on and on, goes off topic and talks too much without making a point. He totally messed up my JCC meeting, by not being prepared at all. I could have done a better job myself! He sounded inexperienced, made no valid points to support my position and was verbally manhandled by opposing council. Do not waste your time and money on this so called “lswyer”. In addition, when I switched to a more experienced lawyer, Bruce was not helpful in providing important information about my case to make the transition smoother. I spent tons of money and time trusting this guy and got absolutely nothing in return.

I retained Bruce on a limited retainer to assist with my appeal. He did help somewhat, but unfortunately, it was dismissed because he did miss key arguments, facts, concepts and documents and delayed things on my file. Anyways, it's never enough money for lawyers. but he told me he wasn't gonna charge me anymore because he thought I would lose. He was right because he didn't put in all the paperwork. His assistant wasn't much help either. All law firms are more focused on the money than anything else. Sad and disapointed from further destruction of my case from mulitple lawyers there in British Columbia.

Bruce is an awesome lawyer! He is very creative and energetic.
I approached Bruce at the time of frustration and desperation,
when fighting for my kid against MCFD, which took 100% the site of my lying abusive ex-spouse.
I lost any hope in getting my kid back. It seemed there was no slightest chance to deal with that monstrous bureaucratic machine.
Bruce handled my case with the high level of wisdom,
completing his strategy step by step,
when dealing with MCFD with the approach of the talented lawyer,
considering that it was extremely difficult, if not possible, to deal with.
And I got my kid 100% back without the court trial.
Most satisfying day of my life owed to him.
Bruce has been the amazing lawyer fighting for my child to be returned to me.
I appreciated his compassion for me and my child and the way he helped calm my anxiety during that horrible time of fight for my kid.
Above all he is a great human being who genuinely cares for his clients.
