I hired Ms. Fout to represent me in a divorce/dissolution and she was compassionate and followed through during initial procedures. However, when I submitted to her a proposed separation agreement with common language as used in the local court she objected and instead demanded to write her own separation agreement "because that's what I do". Her form was generic and insufficient for the complexities of my case; my agreement was jointly agreed to by my spouse and was signed and notarized by both parties; subsequently it was not objected to in court. She billed for all work at her personal rate of $210-$230/hr instead of her paralegal's rate at $95/hr when much of the routine correspondence was done through her paralegal. She quit after the first hearing, withdrawing from representation once I objected to her billing strategy that opposed her contractual terms. She is a nice lady, but lacks integrity in accounting and would not be recommended for challenging cases.
