I hired Lacee Whimpey to assist with an uncontested divorce. Our initial meeting was productive. It took a couple of months for my wife and me to work through asset division, but when we finished I sent this information to her. That's when she stopped communicating. She didn't read my email. Failing to receive an acknowledgement, I sent a followup email. She acknowledged she failed to read the first email, and promised to get back with me. I requested a progress update by email 3 weeks later but again received no response. After no response in nearly 7 weeks I called. She would not take my call and didn't call me back. Frustrated, I sent an email indicating that she had lost my trust and that I would need to have it restored or find a new attorney. She responded by apologizing that she was too busy to assist with my case. She returned the balance of my retainer. In short, Lacee Whimpey lacked basic professionalism and needs to improve her communication methods.
