L. Michael Russell is one of the worst persons, and not at all skilled as an attorney. He has horrible interpersonal skills and as a supervisor he is highly incompetent. He spent a few years at LAUSD's General Counsel's Office a while back, and he was "2nd in command" at the office, and it was a joke. He let the office staff that worked directly for him run amuck in the office, and he was completely biased, based on something other than the facts or the law. He has little sensitivity on how to interact with people from different backgrounds, and is unable to appropriately and fairly deal with conflict. He really doesn't care about facts, or the law, he looks for the path of least resistance, regardless of the consequences for others. Really not sure what his function was at LAUSD, or why was even there - at best a figure head.
