Overall, Stephanie's representation was fair and helpful. However, there were no invoices billed and, although I was paying as much as I could, I received a notice of termination from Marcel unless the bill was paid in full within 30 days. This occurred two months before a settlement conference on a very highly contested family law matter. Attempts to work out a repayment plan were met with indifference and hostility from Marcel. I am not sure what Stephanie knew and how much she took part in this decision, as I was blocked by Marcel from true communication with Stephanie. For this reason, I strongly recommend against using this lawyer - Marcel is her father and seems to be the one in control. Quite unfortunate, as Stephanie is a very decent and helpful lawyer.

Stephanie Ouellette is an amazing lawyer she has represented me for 4-5 years now and she has never made me doubt her commitment or the value of my case i will forever recommend her to anyone who needs family law help

I have been through the wringer with my ex. I don't know who needs to hear this, but the person you divorce is not the same one you married! Ms. Ouellette's perspective was quite balanced and very resolution focused. I appreciate that she managed to keep a lid on things and nothing got blown out of proportion. You can be assured that she will advocate for all parties best interests, including and especially the children... which I appreciate more and more in hindsight. If you are vindictive and have a score to settle with your ex, than set up an interview with her... but I have a feeling she will refer you to another lawyer. Good luck to everyone during this difficult transition and please don't make the children pay for our adult mistakes. Cheers!

When the legal aid money slowed down so did she. This is important stuff and she lost interest just becuase i am poor doesn't mean I should be treated badly no communication. could have done well but she just stopped caring

I am a female client of Stephanie Ouellette and the SO Law Legal team. I have to comment on Stephanie's father Marcel Ouellette as an employee. This man makes me feel very uncomfortable when he is around me either in their office or elsewhere when he is involved with my matter. I catch him checking me out and staring at me and there has been a few times it seemed he was trying to flirt with. I am a younger female and this really bothers me. I cant change lawyers because legal aid wont let me so I am stuck with creepy Marcel. Id advice other females to be very cautious around him. Very creepy guy. As for the rest of the team including Stephanie Ouellette I can agree with some of the comments already posted in these reviews. Very shady group. They keep insisting I take my ex for everything he has when I simply don't care about that stuff. I know a few other people that has SO Law and the experience's these people have had is unreal. I would stay away from these people.

SO Law Legal has to be the most shady unethical law firm in London . Her father Marcel should just stay at home where he belongs. They don’t play by the rules nor even care to. They are willing to lie for their clients, falsely accuse the other party of stuff that simply isn’t true . Her father is a disgrace to her practice and shouldn’t be allowed to practice unlicensed. He has a short fuse and he is controlling and very abusive. They don’t care what the end result is all they care about is getting paid. I highly don’t recommend SO Law Legal for any of your legal needs. I am glad I went somewhere else .

I found this review by accident trying to find Ms. Ouellette's office number. I am a local member of the family bar and the negative double review is absurd. Stephanie Ouellette sometimes infuriates me, but she is a good lawyer and tireless advocate for her clients. I have referred people to her and will continue to do so. Her father is involved with her practice, I do not think it is fair to read anything else into it other than that. I believe he is as well a paralegal, but that may just be a rumor floating around. I have never seen anything to suggest she is under his thumb. You can do a lot worse than Stephanie Ouellette when it comes to family law, but you cannot do much better (unless of course you want to hire me :)
