My husband and I sold a property in Calgary even though we were out of province living in Ontario. Mani helped considerably with the process from the start until the end. We only had a few weeks for closing including the holidays in the middle but Mani assured us that everything will be ok and he and his team worked hard to make it happen.

I have gone through many lawyers through Legal Aid,super frustrating and upsetting,as many lawyers just make money out of people's suffering and have zero interest to really help. Mani on the other hand is the first lawyer that does what he says he will do, he is kind compassionate, smart and extremely efficient! He responds to emails or calls asap,you don't need to remind him of anything as he does really know your file! My file is very tedious and difficult but he has helped me so much! When I applied to Mani for a refugee case, at first I wanted to work with him privately, but when I explained my financial situation and that of my family to him, he offered me to work with him through Legal Aid, and in this case, tried very hard. When our case was referred to him through Legal Aid, we shared a summary of our situation with him and his colleague Cristina, and they listened carefully and to all our words and made our case completely professional.
Finally, our refugee case was one of the few that was accepted without a hearing with IRB, and my family and I are very happy to have chosen him as our lawyer.

The day that I received my rejection letter from Immigration Canada. I was very stressed out, I went online and did a google search and I found very good reviews about SHIMLAW. I called Shim law and the same day I called them, they were able to see me in the afternoon. After meeting with Mani and his highly Skilled colleague, Cristina, at the meeting they were able to help me make a game plan to prepare and be ready to win the appeal with Immigration and Refugee appeal Board of Canada.

Mani and his team were fantastic in helping us close our Home sale. They were attentive to our questions and very prompt in getting us responses. Mani was very knowledgeable in some of the finer aspects of Real Estate Law. There was a situation that arose over the holidays where our mortgage bank did not receive the closing funds for the sale of the house due to an error on the Fedex delivery driver. We were charged two extra mortgage payments erroneously. I called Mani and to my dismay his offices were closed for the holidays. After a quick email, Mani responded on the phone and said he would look into it. Within the next hour, he had figured out what went wrong and promised to rectify it quickly. Over the next day, Mani and Tasha(Mani's fantastic Legal Aide) had resolved the issue and informed me the refund would be in my account in the next few days. Throughout the process Tasha phoned me and provided updates of the situation until the money was deposited in our account. Outstanding
