He heavily advertises in the Chinese newspapers. I retained him for a business case that could not be settled out of court in New York City, so it went to trial. Altman was fully unprepared at trial by forgetting certain pieces of evidence and misplacing the witness sheet, and he "butchered" my Asian name to the trial judge while the opposing counsel laughed at his extreme mispronunciation. Altman even forgot my name a couple of times during the opening statement. He simply gestured towards me and referred to me as "that guy in the dark suit" to the jury. When I received the verdict, Altman encouraged me to appeal the verdict, but another attorney said that Altman is simply deceiving me in an attempt to get more money from me, so I took the other attorney's advice and didn't appeal because the appeal had no chance of success yet Altman kept calling me to appeal and asked for another $7,500.00 for the appeal. I already paid him almost $28,000.00. He's a dirty lawyer who targets Asians.
