I hired Shana Maiato to help me when my husband and I separated. I was impressed at how knowledgable she was, how quickly she was able to come up with solutions and how she made me feel at ease. She is a 'no-nonsense' lawyer but still didn't make me feel ignorant, which I appreciated so much. She was actually recommended to me by a friend who had gone through a messy divorce and was also very pleased with her. I highly recommend Shana!

Family law is a license to print money that rewards attorneys for destroying families, and Shana is exceptional at that. She makes up facts to prolong a very costly process. Best to stay away and work things out on your own

She relies on repeatedly making unsubstantiated accusations and chasing fishing expeditions to turn simple matters into endless billings. Makes any relationship you may have had with your spouse into an all out war

Has a bad reputation in the Hurontario Family Law office. She yells and is a bully to get her way and the judge asked her not to get personal or use the revenge factor in her case. I was there as the opponent. I didn't bother saying a word only a smile on my face. I would take a day off work again just to see that.
