The only concerning issue I had, and have never experienced, are that Alberta Lawyers are permitted to charge a Non-Refundable Retainer. Meaning if they work on your case for a day or a week,you can see your "Retainer" costing $1,000+ per hour. Just a Heads-Up to verify what you may be paying for.My case never even went to court, but I needed Legal Advice - just in case.
