I am distressed because I was tricked into hiring Ajay Devgan as a family lawyer for Divorce/Matrimonial Property/Child Support. I paid Ajay Devgan over $12,000 from January-July 2017. I went to him, trust in good faith, spoke with me on the phone about potential eviction threats because my Ex’s wanted to evict me and my kids. I trusted him because he was a family lawyer. He quoted me $220/hour on the phone. When I saw him he quote me $225/hour. He had advised me the most Divorced process cost was $10,000 from start to finish. It will take less then 1 month to 2 Years. I was lied by him and his legal Assistance he started his bar association for a long time. They lied. I hired him as a family lawyer from January-July 2017. He only started his bar associate in 2017. He is incompetent lawyer who didn’t his work. He overbilled. He doesn’t show up for Court. Ajay Devgan is scared of the opposiing parties. He threatened his own clients to give up their kids, Matrimonial Property.

I hired Ajay Devgun with Devgun Law Office to deal with my divorce. After spending $8000 with him my ex eventually retained a lawyer and I learned from my ex lawyer that he misadvised me on matrimonial property. As a result this cost me money and stress in an already stressful costly time. Once I learned he misadvised me I contacted him to see if he would be willing to do anything for me and he refused and said he did nothing wrong and quit. I filed a complaint with the law society and after a few months of them investigating received a letter back from them stating "Ajay Devgun did not serve me well". I then contacted him to see if he would be willing to refund me even half the money and he never replied. (I hired him and paid him in good faith to give me advise on a divorce after all he is a lawyer that passed the bar and he specializes in family law). I don't feel Ajay made this mistake on purpose however, he could have dealt with it in a better way.
