 | 8/2/20 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | She is a horrible lawyer and doesn’t listen to you. She is more concerned with impressing the judge and her boss, and not her client. Jenna represented me at trial (a pivotal moment in my custody battle) and I told her I wanted shared parenting (via a gradual increase in parenting time). Jenna yelled at me and told me I couldn’t ask the judge for shared parenting because the Alberta provincial court “never” awards shared parenting to fathers (unless the mother agrees to it) and simply asking for this would “piss the judge off”. The only thing she pushed me to do is to offer a higher imputed income than I actually make to pay higher child support, so that the judge might look at me more favorably and give me extra time. Bottom line, don’t work with her. She has a terrible personality and is a terrible lawyer. You’re better off with representing yourself than going with her. | |
    | | 2/22/18 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Years later, I am still trying to deal with the results of what she did while in court. It was a disaster. After speaking with multiple other lawyers, I am extremely disappointed with what she thought was reasonable, and what she asked of the other party. She appeared to be uncomfortable in front of the judge, and I would strongly recommend not retaining her. Find someone experienced, with well thought out knowledge and communication abilities. | | | |
