With the situation I am going through I feel very supported, which is absolutely what you want when going though a family court situation. Very forward on the facts and will keep you in realistic expectations of the situation. Providing REAL solutions for the issues I have been facing while trying to settle issues between me and my ex regarding sale of the family home and getting my children 50/50. The office staff are apart of the whole picture and they work as an effective team. I would and I have recommend Christina and Co. Ms. Matthews. Reading the reviews duplicated so many times she obviously writes her own reviews or pays her assistant to do it for her. I 100% absolutely and adamantly do not recommend Ms. Matthews for ANY FAMILY LAW REPRESENTATION WHATSOEVER. She is self-serving, obtuse and represents OPCO more than her client. I have hundreds of emails where she "requests further clarification" or "doesn't understand the direction". She brought zero to the table and harmed my file by negatively representing her client. She actually told OPCO not to sign a presented offer "i wouldn't sign it". I hope she has her law license pulled, she is truly a detriment to the the absolute scum of family lawyers paid to play. Awful. Avoid at all costs. 3 times to docket court to get a consented change of child status? This person does not represent her client, only her pocketbook. Doesn't follow FL-17 para 1? Nope. Not a lawyer and should not have a permit to practise law. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Christina was exceptional in my case with a custody, child support and application of mobility. Christina informed me from the beginning of how we would deal with this. She prepared me well for trials that was brutal to face from the other self representing party. She helped me stay calm and deal with the abuse I. Real time in court and remained positive. I was referred to Christina two years ago and I could not be happier with the decision I made to have her represent me in my parenting matter. With a few curveballs thrown into my case (CFS involvement). Christina has been able to explain to me clearly and guide me through all the processes. She is very composed and does not get rattled, great in docket court as well in trial. She has dealt with opposing counsel and the Applicant yelling at her twice outside of the court room, she remained calm and deescalated the situation. She has been professional dealing with the Applicant as the Applicant is self repping. The Applicant on the other hand continues to cross the line on things said to Christina and myself. Christina has taken all the stress away from me in my personal/work life with dealing with things in a timely and professional matter as they arise. I would highly recommend Christina!!

I am a retired lawyer who once worked with Christina. I referred people to Christina and still do. I do so, as she knows her stuff and is very effective in court. For a former client of mine, she recently won a huge and final child custody and support issue and buried the opposing side and her lawyer. I saw the final court Order. She is also a pleasant person who does not lose her cool in contentious matters. This is the kind of lawyer you want on your side. And if opposite her you had better try to keep up.

I found Christina Matthews after trying to self-represent in Family Court for two years. I am a single dad that was hounded relentlessly by a narcissistic ex-spouse and her counsel, neither of whom would be satisfied until they saw me bankrupt and unable to provide for my children. I was exhausted. I was broke. And I had lost faith in the system. I desperately needed help and was so lucky to find it with Christina. From the moment she took my case, Christina made me feel at ease and effortlessly cut through the lies my ex had tried to smear me with in Court. Having all the supporting documents with the truth still was not prepared to talk in to the court. Don’t go in to the detail or even try to think from her client’s perspective. Did not able to defend her own client against apposition party in to the court. Because she was not prepared and not sting enough in speaking and putting her points effective way. If your case is high conflict and if your are dealing with the narcissistic ex then she is not your lawyer!!! Bcoz she can not defend you despite having all the evidences then definitely she is not good in what she does. Yes her charges are lower so only consult her if you have easy matter. But NOT recommended at all if you think she can help out is conflict divorce and parenting matter. Better to pay someone a bit more and finish things effectively and timely manner!

Christina helped me with a parenting and child support dispute against my ex-wife. Christina Matthews - one hell of a lawyer. She took on our high conflict custody case and knocked it out of the park. Christina didn’t back down to opposing senior counsel, and pushed back on several Judges in a professional way ensuring she got our point across securing the result we wanted. Not sure if it is because I am a male but I found that Christina regularly forgot things that we had talked about or even who I was let alone would even listen to what my request was. At no point in time did I feel like she was ever on my side it was more like it was me vs her and the other lawyer. This has been the worst experience I have ever had and to be honest I feel like if you are a male in a divorce situation and get this person as your lawyer as for a new one or just do it alone you are better off.

I could not more highly recommend Christina! I acquired her services for an extremely difficult custody battle, where I was residing out of the country. It was an overwhelming situation to try and deal with from far away, and additionally during Covid.
